Simple White Cake

Reviewed: Feb. 27, 2012
This is fantastic! I just made it as cupcakes to test it out and I will definitely be using this recipe for my daughters birthday cake! It tastes like a sugar cookie! I beat it well at every stage so I find it came out fluffy and not dense at all. I also used 3/4 cup of milk instead of half a cup as I live in Canada and with the higher elevation its a bit drier - turned out great. Can't wait to make this as a cake!!!

Traditional Macaroni and Cheese

Reviewed: Sep. 18, 2011
This was awesome! I took advice of other reviewers and did a blend of cheese - half mozza and half cheddar. I also used about 3 cups of cheese and a bit more pasta than it called for. At the end I stirred in cooked bacon pieces and served with a side of broccoli - it was a hit! One tip - don't salt the water for your pasta - there's enough salt in the dish. Great recipe!!

Oatmeal-Cinnamon Muffins

Reviewed: Aug. 31, 2011
These are awesome!! Based on others experiences I decided to add to the eggs 1 TBSP of oil to keep the muffins more moist so they wouldn't stick to the paper and it worked great. I added shredded coconut and dried cherries. These are fantastic! Making a second batch of raisin coconut as I type.

Banana Blueberry Muffins

Reviewed: Aug. 31, 2011
I just made these and they turned out great! I took the advice of other reviewers and did half white flour and half whole wheat flour. I also did 2 whole eggs rather than egg whites. My batter was super thick - i don't think I had enough mashed banana so I thinned it out with some milk. I also topped with cinnamon sugar and they took 20 min instead of 16. Thanks for a great recipe! Update: i made a second batch and used 4 bananas and added 2 TBSP oil to the recipe. i still needed a bit of milk as the batter was thick but they turned out AMAZING. I also added coconut. 5 stars!
