Basic Ham and Bean Soup

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2013
I was excited about this recipe with all the great reviews. .. while it wasn't a bad pot of soup- my husband and I both found it very bland. This was after I had increased the mustard onion and garlic :/

Chocolate Covered Cherries

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2012
These are soooo good- but they definitely require some work! I used very small candy cups (like tiny cupcake baking cups) and placed a cherry in each after I had coated it with the chocolate. They came out just fine- no oozing out!!

Italian Sausage Soup

Reviewed: Dec. 19, 2011
Needs another can of stewed tomatoes as other reviewers mentioned- and dont be afraid to add more of your own spices. I added oregano basil parsley. . . other yummy stuff! Thanks for the recipe- it will be a regular in this family!

Roasted Rack of Lamb

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2011
I had never cooked lamb before but it was my husbands bday and he loves lamb. This turned out beautifully! I added a little more garlic (we love it) but other than that I didnt change anything. The timing works out if you dont pull the lamb straight out of the fridge. Let it sit out on your counter while you are prepping everything else. Great recipe- will def. be making it again!

Tiramisu Layer Cake

Reviewed: Dec. 14, 2011
Ummmmm-this is amazing. My husband and I LOVE coffee so I used WAY more of the coffee liqueur- probably 5x as much and I put this into the frosting mixture. Also, don't skip over the garnish. . . its more than that and it really elevates the entire cake. Worth the work! Thanks for posting!

Zesty Slow Cooker Chicken Barbecue

Reviewed: Nov. 3, 2011
So easy and sooooo freaking good. I never use frozen chicken and I cook it on high for about 4 hours and it perfectly juicy and flavorful. I do pull it all apart about 4 hours and let it sit and cook on low for another 30 min or so. And I forgot to add that I use a little liquid smoke as well- adds to the flavor- but dont use much!
