Rosemary Chicken with Orange-Maple Glaze

Reviewed: Dec. 7, 2011
This was such a nice change from regular old chicken. I used the ingredients exactly as they were listed. I did however make the glaze in a skillet and used that same pan to cook the chicken. I also removed the chicken from the pan after cooking to let the sauce reduce more. My one year old loved it!

Mexican Rice III

Reviewed: Aug. 22, 2011
I loved this rice. I made the recipe as written and it turned out perfect. I was worried about the heat from the jalapeño but it was just right.

Sausage Stuffed Jalapenos

Reviewed: Jan. 29, 2012
I've made these several times and people love them. I also like that every time you eat one you never know how hot it will be. I used a turkey sausage with reduced fat cream cheese and a good quality Parmesan cheese. You don't miss the fat at all!

Marinated Grilled Shrimp

Reviewed: Sep. 5, 2011
So simple, so delicious. Ive tried a lot of shrimp recipes and this one is the best. I added a bit more cayenne since we like a bit more heat. So good. I would also cut back on the salt if you don't use a full 2 pounds. I had about 1 1/2 pound of shrimp and half tsp was too much.

Black 'N' White Brownies

Made these bars for game night and everyone loved them! They were a nice change from plain brownies too. Totally worth the extra work.

Roast Sticky Chicken-Rotisserie Style

Reviewed: Jan. 22, 2012
Flavors are awesome and can be used so many ways. I used it on chicken breasts. I let the rub sit on the chicken in the fridge for 6 hours or so. I then dusted them in flour and pan seared the breasts in a butter/oil combo. I baked them off in a 400 degree over for 10 minutes! Delish!

Double Tomato Bruschetta

Reviewed: Oct. 28, 2011
This is so good and so simple! I followed the recipe as written but added a tablespoon of capers. The salty crunch of the caper is a nice addition. Since I added the capers I chose to serve it cold on the toasted baguette with a little sprinkle of Parm cheese on top. D'lish!

Slow Cooker Beef Stroganoff I

Reviewed: Oct. 30, 2011
This recipe is great as is! The only other thing I added was pepper. You guys are nuts to add onion soup mix to this when there is already 700 milligrams of sodium per serving. Plenty of flavor without it.

Chicken a la King I

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2011
So easy and so good. I made it even easier by using a rotisserie chicken which added tons of flavor. The extra salt from the rotisserie made it unecessary to add more bullion as some have indicated the recipe needed. Thanks for the recipe.

White Chili with Ground Turkey

Reviewed: Dec. 14, 2011
This is a great alternative to standard chili which I do not care for. I only had 2 cups of cheese so a added 1 1/2 cups to the pot and saved a half cup for topping. It worked great. I also only had a Mexican blend cheese and it worked great. Thanks for the recipe.

Oven Baked Garlic and Parmesan Fries

Really yummy. I used quartered red potatoes and cut the total time cooked by 10 minutes and they were awesome.

Broccoli with Rigatoni

Reviewed: Oct. 29, 2012
Love this recipe. It is my go to since i always have broccoli, pasta and broth on hand. I do like to use chicken broth and shred some rotisserie chicken into the dish. Fresh basil and good Parmesan cheese really makes it though.

This is a very versatile recipe. I did half broccoli and half cauliflower. I also use light mayo and reduced fat soup. Turned out great!

Swiss Chicken Bake

Reviewed: Mar. 20, 2012
This is a really good recipe that's easy to assemble. Interchangable with ingredients too. I made it as written the first time. The second time I only had cream of chicken soup and cheddar jack cheese. I actually thought it had more flavor than the original version. Next time I will add wine instead of chicken broth for the acid i think the dish needs.

Pineapple Chicken Tenders

Reviewed: May 16, 2012
All this recipe needed was some acid. I added a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar and that did the trick. It made the chicken super moist and broke down the meat enough that the rest of the ingredients soaked in and had great flavor.

Slow Cooker Carnitas

Reviewed: Aug. 22, 2011
This dish was awesome! I really loved the flavors with just that hint of cinnamon coming thru. I first used the meat inside flour tortillas and the flavor got lost. I mixed the leftover meat in with Mexican rice and it was much better this way, especially since the flavor of the meat was better the second day.

Mushroom Turnovers

Reviewed: Dec. 31, 2011
I just assumed the filling would be bland and added couple cloves garlic, a tsp of worcestershire sauce and a dash of Tabasco. I also did bite size and got about 35 out of it. Lastly I added egg wash and baked them for 25 minutes. I really like them! So much more elegant to bring to a party than your standard fare.

Chicken Biscuit Pie

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2011
The recipe was great, however, if I were to make it over I would cut the biscuit part in half. There was way to much of the biscuit portion of the dish.

Busy Day Chicken

Reviewed: Dec. 14, 2011
This was so simple it is hard not to like. Although it seems like every time I make chicken in the crockpot it comes out kind of mealy no matter what the recipe. Must just be the result of slow cooker chicken.
