Peanut Butter Glaze

Reviewed: Jun. 23, 2012
Very yummy ICING. You would REALLY have to tweak it to make it the consistency of a glaze. Tasted good and worked great for Cocoa Banana Bars (also on this site).

Cocoa Banana Bars

Reviewed: Jun. 23, 2012
After reading the reviews I only made ONE change. I added 2 cups (about 4 medium bananas) instead of 1 1/2 cups. This cake was PERFECT!!! Even my husband who HATES bananas loved it & ate 3 pieces. Oh & I also topped it with the peanut butter glaze from this site off a suggestion of another reviewer. Pure heaven! Cannot go wrong with banana, chocolate, and peanut butter! Thanks for an amazing recipe!

Lemon Cheesecake Squares

These where amazing! I made them for a charity bake sale and not one was left! Everyone raved about them. They where a bit messy coming out of the pan, so next time I will make sure the pan is super greased.

Tasted great! Hubby and I really enjoyed it. Only gripe was it was a bit on the runny side.

Pesto Chicken Penne Casserole

DELICIOUS!!! Despite all the other reviews I actually added more pesto sauce. My family loves pesto, and we really loved this recipe. My very picky 5 yr-old daughter had 3 servings!

Broccoli Beef II

Amazing! I had to double the marinade and i marinated it for about an hour to really let the beef soak up the flavor. This was delicious meal everyone loved. Next time I to double the whole recipe!

Lemon-Pepper Salmon

Reviewed: Mar. 28, 2012
So tasty! I listened to one of the reviews and used real lemon juice and pepper instead of the Mrs. Dash stuff. I also used dill instead of cilantro (hubby hates it) and it tasted wonderful. Fish was so flaky and flavorful. Kids even loved it.

Slow-Cooker Corned Beef and Cabbage

Reviewed: Mar. 23, 2012
As the most popular review said...I did not add any liquid besides water. It does NOT need it!!! The beef and season packet makes for a very flavorful meal. DO NOT ADD EXTRA SEASONINGS OR SALT. I added my potatoes from the start and they where not mushy at all. My kids even loved this!

Cheeseburger Soup I

Reviewed: Mar. 17, 2012
I followed this recipe to a tee. And everyone (including my 13 month old) LOVED it. It was the right consistency for soup. Not too watery and not too thick. The only thing is we had to salt it a bit. Will definitely be making this again!

It's Chili by George!!

Reviewed: Mar. 13, 2012
Fantastic! I didn't measure the spices (cayene, oregano, pepper, salt, and cumin) Just added it till it "smelled" right. I probably added more that it called for, but it sure tasted great!

Shrimp Scampi Bake

Reviewed: Mar. 13, 2012
DELICIOUS! My husband who is a shrimp snob (lol) loved this and asked when I was making it again. It was a bit on the liquid side, but he liked it and it wasn't an issue when he heated up the leftovers.

Slow Cooker Split Pea Sausage Soup

Reviewed: Mar. 13, 2012
I used cooked bacon because I thought I had some sausage in the freezer and I didn't. Turned out tasty. DO NOT add bacon before cooking and not till the end or it will be mushy bacon. To get the good bacon flavor while it cooked I added 3 tablespoons of bacon grease. Once again the texture on this was thinner than I like so I added potato flakes about 30 min before serving and it thickened nicely and tasted great.

Split Pea and Sausage Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 21, 2012
Very tasty. I used chicken broth instead of beef. Added a few more spices, such as parsley, garlic, thyme, and oregano. Would have been 5 stars if the consistency was better. I followed the recipe and made the adjustments other people said and this was not a thick and creamy soup at all. Next time I will stick with the crock pot version.

Basil-Tomato Tuna Steaks

Reviewed: Jan. 8, 2012
This was delicious! Changes I made: I used garlic salt instead of the salt and pepper. I sliced the mozzarella. I used about 1 tablespoon basil paste spread over, then I put 2 slices of tomato and 2 slices of cheese on top. I used 8oz steaks instead of 4oz cause that is what I had. For the 8oz steaks I had to cook them for 8 min on each side and for about 6 maybe 7 min in the broiler. Even my 5 year old loved this! Will be making again for sure!

Slow Cooker Pulled Pork

Reviewed: Dec. 31, 2011
I made two crock pots of this. One with the BBQ sauce and one without (just the root beer) for my sister who is nursing. Everyone LOVED the one without the BBQ sauce best! The flavor was so unique and the pork super tender. Will make this again without sauce!

Pineapple Upside-Down Cake II

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2011
I made this exactly as the recipe said and it came out DELICIOUS! Only thing I did different was cube up the butter and let it melt into the pan while the oven pre-heated. Saved a step. I also used a rectangle Pyrex baking dish (13x9) and it came out wonderful. Honestly...DO NOT BE AFRAID TO USE AS MUCH BUTTER AS IT CALLS FOR!!!
