About this Cook
Married to a wonderful man and we have 3 beautiful and silly daughters! I love to cook and love to modify recipes. My husband calls me the Spice Queen.
My favorite things to cook
Meatloaf, soups of any kind, pastas, pesto sauces in different variations, chicken fried steak, casseroles, and well anything! I love cooking!
My favorite family cooking traditions
My mother side of the family is from Spain. My grandmother had wonderful traditions, which she made sure to pass on before she died. Every Christmas my mother, sisters, and sometimes aunts get together and make homemade Biscochitos, tamales, carne adavoda, tortillas, and sopapillas. Very fattening holiday!
My cooking triumphs
Perfecting gravy. My father is a master gravy maker (not kidding) and I always hoped to be as good as him. I have had some bad gravy disasters in the past, but just recently I had family tell me that I have it down solid!
My cooking tragedies
Wow....too many lol! I think the worst was when I blew up Jello...not on purpose! Who can say they accidentally blew up Jello?

Peanut Butter Glaze
Very yummy ICING. You would REALLY have to tweak it to make it the consistency of a glaze. Tasted good and worked great for Cocoa Banana Bars (also on this site).

Cocoa Banana Bars
After reading the reviews I only made ONE change. I added 2 cups (about 4 medium bananas) instead of 1 1/2 cups. This cake was PERFECT!!! Even my husband who HATES bananas loved it & ate 3 pieces. Oh & I also topped it with the peanut butter glaze from this site off a suggestion of another reviewer. Pure heaven! Cannot go wrong with banana, chocolate, and peanut butter! Thanks for an amazing recipe!

Pesto Chicken Penne Casserole
DELICIOUS!!! Despite all the other reviews I actually added more pesto sauce. My family loves pesto, and we really loved this recipe. My very picky 5 yr-old daughter had 3 servings!
