Favorite Buttermilk Bread

Tasted nice but was very hard to cut. It just kept falling apart. I doubt I'll make it again. There are so many other bread recipes to choose from.

Mom's Applesauce Pancakes

Pretty good. I didn't have a lemon on hand so omitted the lemon juice but other than that, followed the recipe using Bisquick. Not as light and fluffy as the buttermilk pancakes I usually make but definitely a good way to use up leftover apple sauce which is what prompted me to make them.

Italian Bread Using a Bread Machine

I halved the recipe and made one loaf. I was very happy with how the bread turned out. As others mentioned, it is a dense bread, but still yummy. The small amount left over did not keep well though. It was quite hard the following morning even though I had wrapped it up overnight. Would make good french toast though.

Kalua Pig in a Slow Cooker

This pork was so bland when I took it out of the slow cooker last night. I just tasted it this morning and the flavor seems to have developed. Tastes much better the second day, more smoky.

French Baguettes

Turned out great. I ended up making four smaller baguettes and served them fresh from the oven with a chicken & veggie casserole. My man raved about the bread...not so much about the chicken, lol. (I personally thought the casserole was delicious!)

German Apple Pancake

This recipe is straight out of the Bon Appetit 'Breakfasts and Brunches' cookbook...word for word. Anyway, I used all 4 eggs but think I'd cut back to 3, maybe even 2 next time. I also doubled the apples like many other people here. It was enjoyable enough, but I'm not sure I'd bother making it again.

Beer Rolls

These rolls came out just right. Often, even though I use the correct measurements making bread/rolls etc, I find the dough is too sticky, but this dough was very easy to handle. My other half really enjoyed them. I personally prefer lighter rolls, but I made these because I had some leftover Guinness to use up. I hate to waste anything. :)

Amish Bread

I didn't read the instructions properly so I didn't restart the bread machine, but the bread still came out really great although the loaf size was smallish. I also used vegetable oil as I had no canola oil but I think this was the nicest bread machine bread I have made so far. I'll definitely make it again.

Bazlama - Turkish Flat Bread

I read the other reviews and only one person that I could see said this dough was sticky yet I couldn't even work with it, it was so sticky. I double checked my ingredient measurements, all were correct. I ended up adding probably another whole cup of flour before I could even handle it. That said, the end result was very yummy bread. My other half loved it and that's always a good sign.
