German Spaetzle Dumplings

This was great! I'd never made or even tasted spaetzle before. After cooking it, I fried it with diced bacon and onion. LOVED IT! I'll be making it again soon. Thanks PaulaB for the flat cheese grater tip. That worked perfectly.

Mom's Zucchini Bread

Really delicious. I made it exactly as per the recipe. The texture was more like cake than bread though and was quite crumbly when I tried to cut it.

Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Muffins

French Bread Rolls to Die For

These rolls turned out wonderfully. They looked like they'd just come from the bakery. I prepared the dough in my bread machine. I doubled the size of the rolls as they were for sandwiches and baked them at 375 for 25 minutes. After reading reviews here, I did slightly cut back on the sugar and used olive oil instead of vegetable oil. Oh also, I read too late about the dough being very sticky, which it was. I can't stand handling sticky dough so I added more flour once I tipped it out of the bread machine, the rolls were still absolutely perfect.

Authentic Mexican Breakfast Tacos

Good recipe. I was very surprised that it didn't include onions and peppers. Like other reviewers, I added them anyway for more flavor. I served the tacos with a side of Patatas Bravas sans dipping sauce.

Whole Grain Breakfast Cookies

The end result tasted nice but I wouldn't make them again as per the recipe. I had problems with them crumbling and falling apart prior to, and during baking.

Prosciutto Wrapped Asparagus

This was delicious. I was surprised how salty the prosciutto was once it baked. Glad I didn't add any extra salt. I'll be making this again for sure.

Oven Baked Chicken Teriyaki

Ugh, almost unbearable for me. I gave most of it to my other half. Super salty, and yes I used the Kikkoman LOW sodium soy sauce. The man enjoyed it well enough but I really couldn't eat it.

Baked Buffalo Wings

Didn't love it. Have found better recipes on this site. The wings were dry when I coated them and they sat in the fridge as needed, but they took longer than 45 mins to cook and stuck to the sprayed aluminum foil and just didn't crisp very well.

BBQ Glazed Homemade Meatballs

Very yummy. The man of the house even commented on how good they were. I followed the recipe except for doubling the sauce and halving the sugar. I put half the sauce over the meatballs before they went in the oven, then turned them half way through the cooking time and put on the remainder of the sauce.

Debdoozie's Blue Ribbon Chili

When chili is the star of the show, I make the Boilermaker Tailgate Chili from this site, but today I am making chili cheese fries so I didn't feel like putting quite as much effort into the chili. If you've seen the other recipe, you'll know what I mean! Debdoozie's chili is super fast to prepare and tastes decent.

Serendipity Bread

I am rating this 5 stars for the dough. I can't count how many dough recipes I have tried from this site. Bread, flatbread, pizza dough recipes. Some have been good, some not so much but this is the BEST so far. When it came out of my bread machine, the dough was the ideal consistency. Generally I have trouble with the dough being too sticky to work with and I have to keep adding flour. This one was absolutely perfect. Easy to divide, easy to roll out, it didn't keep sticking to my mat or rolling pin..and it tasted great! I didn't do the feta thing. I grilled it and used it as a base for the pizza I was making last night. Tonight I'm using what's left to make little flatbreads to accompany dinner. If I only had some feta.....

Cherry Pound Cake

Very delicious. I cooked for 60 mins and that was a fraction too long I think. The cake was slightly on the dry side but still really enjoyable. I cooked it in a 9.5 inch bundt pan as I couldn't find an 8 inch one.

Classic Bran Muffins

I thought they were a bit dense, but bran muffins are probably supposed to be that way. I am used to lighter, less healthy ones. They were pretty good though. I added in a few blueberries.

Favorite Buttermilk Bread
