I am a wife and mommy of 1 with another one on the way. Due in March 2012. I work part time as a police dispatcher and though I was not taught to cook by my mom or grandmas, I have some pretty amazing friends that are teaching me new things all time! I love ethnic dishes like spanakopita and souvlaki. I also love to experiment with mac and cheese and comfort foods like that. I am determined to teach my daughter to cook at a young age. I have started a tradition with her where I give her a step stool and let her help me stir things and add spices (already portioned, of course!) I made a Beef Stew from AR once that my husband announced was "better than my mom's!!" that was the best compliment EVER! I tried to make cabbage and sausage in the crock pot....Epic FAIL!! My house smelled like burned cabbage for days!!!
