About this Cook
My name is Brenda.I've been married for 38 years to my highschool sweetheart, mother of two, grandmother of six. I'm a Registered Dental Assistant and a Certified Phlebotomist. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends.
My favorite things to cook
I love to bake cakes, pies, tarts. Also canning fresh vegetables and making jellies, jams, dill relish and salsa.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Every Easter, my family expects me to make the trditional "Bunny Cake". Well,I can't let my family down can I?
My cooking triumphs
My latest triumphs would have to be my homemade salsa, dill relish and homemade pure vanilla.
My cooking tragedies
When I was a teenager, I would make fudges(divinity, chocolate, peanut butter) that turned out perfect. But today, I just can't seem to get the recipe right. Oh, if only I could recapture those days!!!

Homemade Yogurt
My sister gave me a yogert machine with 1 packet of yogert mix. The mix is not in my budget. This recipe will work perfect. I love to put yogurt on my cereal instead of milk! So now I can have an endless supply of yogurt!

Coconut Cream Pie VII
My husband requested a coconut cream pie for his birthday. I found this recipe and added a meringue topper. His comment to me was "You outdid yourself with this pie". I will be making this recipe again! Definate hit.
