This was my first time baking apple pie from scratch and it was AMAZING!!!! I highly recommend using the French Pastry Pie Crust recipe from this website. I read through the reviews before making the filling and added 1/2t of nutmeg and 1/2t of cinammon along with 1 tsp of vanilla. The pie was PERFECT! I Will definitely be making again and again and again! Also, I used a 9 inch pie mold and only really need 6 1/2 apples. (The edges of pie came out a littled burnt, does anyone have any recommendations to avoid this from happening again? Thanks!)
