Peachy Bread Pudding with Caramel Sauce

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2011
I'm sure anyone who likes bread pudding will like this. My family just doesn't like bread pudding. I followed the recipe and even added more eggs per the other comments. It wasn't bad. It just wasn't great. I won't make it again.

This was ok. I think I could maybe doctor this up and make it better.

Clone of a Cinnabon

Reviewed: Oct. 26, 2011
Yummy! I used my bread recipe (no bread machine) and the brown sugar/cinnamon mixture with the icing. I made some with crushed pecans and some without. The family loved it.

Italian Wedding Soup I

Reviewed: Oct. 26, 2011
This is really good. I followed the recipe almost exactly. Only deviations were: I used beef broth and chicken broth, added some salt and onion flakes, used spinach and added some celery. I served it with a nice crusty bread and the family loved it. As they say, "it is a do-over"

White Chocolate Amaretto Cake

Reviewed: Dec. 24, 2010
This is an awesome cake! Made it exactly to the recipe. One thing I think I will do different next time is to try to time it so the glaze is only just ready when the cake comes out of the oven. I made it too soon and it thickened a bit so it did not go into the holes as deep.

Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings

Reviewed: Nov. 15, 2010
My family gave this 3 stars. They liked it but it wasn't over the top. I followed the recipe except for a couple things as advised by others: Added lite salt and poultry seasoning and used one can of cream of chicken and one can of cream of celery. Also I used chicken broth instead of water.

Easy Slow Cooker French Dip

Reviewed: Nov. 14, 2010
This is awesome and so easy! I followed other reviewers and added the browning sauce (2 tsp) and about 2 tsp of garlic. I did not have 7-8 hours but I also only cooked 2lbs of meat so I put it on high and let it cook for 4 hours. Then I pulled it out, cut it and put it back in with 2 tsp of lite salt. I let it cook another 45-55 minutes while I toasted the rolls and melted the provolone. My family loved this recipe! Thanks so much!

The Twenty Dollar Burger

Reviewed: Jun. 27, 2010
This is a good burger. I doubled the recipe and followed it exactly until it was time to mix the seasoned yogurt in with the meat. I realized that if I mixed the entire amount I would have a soup that would not hold together on the grill. So I mixed what seemed to make sense and had about half the yogurt mixture left when I was done. Next time I might try the suggestion of mixing in some oatmeal to help them hold together. Anyway, everyone liked them at the party, even though my husband thought some may not. Even the well done burgers were juicy and full of flavor. I will use this recipe again.

The World's Greatest Crab Recipe

Reviewed: May 31, 2010
These are awesome! I had frozen pre cooked crab legs from the grocery store and I followed the recipe exactly. I admit that I didn't think the olive oil/butter mixture was going to penetrate to the crab meat very well but it did. When I basted the legs the oil caused some flames that created this great smoky flavor that combined very nicely with the butter and garlic flavor. The flavor was so great that we practically didn't even need the butter. My family could not get enough! Thanks for a keeper!

Buche de Noel

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2009
I've tried Yule Logs in the past and the cake usually breaks, making it really hard to end up with a pretty final product, even if it tastes good. This one worked really well. I did use a chocolate ganache from this site for the filling and then filling that is in this recipe as a frosting. I put a vanilla cognac in the ganache for a special touch. I will use this recipe again next year.

Awesome Sausage, Apple and Cranberry Stuffing

I liked this but my family wasn't as excited about it so I'm giving it 4 stars. They said they didn't like the cranberries. I loved them!

Lemon-Blueberry Squares

Reviewed: Jul. 27, 2009
This is a nice recipe. I did make some alterations: crushed the Nilla Wafers and added a bit of butter to make a crust before putting the filling on top. Also, I put all the Whip cream in the filling instead of putting some on top. I think next time I'll use another box of the lemon pudding because it wasn't lemony enough for my taste. I garnished with more wafers and blueberries. Tasty though!

Anniversary Chicken I

Reviewed: Mar. 29, 2009
This was very good. I used real bacon and browned the chicken breasts in a few Tbsp of the grease. I also added the bacon, cheese and onion about 10 mins before pulling it out of the oven. My son loved it and my husband liked it, but he doesn't really like chicken, so I count that as a good rating.

Chicken Tortilla Soup V

Reviewed: Nov. 10, 2008
I had a delicious Tortilla soup in Austin once and I've been searching for one like it ever since. The soup was more broth-y instead of being a thick stew and all the recipes I found, while many were good, none had the consistency I enjoyed so much in Austin. This one is the closest and it has great flavor. Thanks for the terrific recipe!

This is good but the lime is a must. Also, I put in extra cilantro because I like it that way. My son begs me to make this recipe.

Herb Roasted Pork

Reviewed: Oct. 5, 2008
This is excellent! I followed other's suggestions and I doubled the ingredients on the rub. I pushed crushed garlic into holes in the meat. I covered it for the first two hours and cooked it at 300 degrees. When I basted it, I first took a knife and stabbed it so the sauce would seep into the meat better. My family loved it.
