Reviewed: Aug. 22, 2013
We LOVED this! Hubby is from Chicago and loves Italian sausage. This was wonderful! The smoky grilled sausage and marinated tomatoes were a great combination. We will be having this often!

Greek Chicken Pasta

Reviewed: Apr. 19, 2010
This recipe has good flavor, but I will change a few things next time I make it. 1 lb. of pasta (we used linguini) is too much. The chicken and what sauce there was...was lost among so much pasta. And it needs more liquid. Our's was rather dry. Next time I will add chicken broth and/or white wine. Flavor was great...and preparation was quick.

Navy Bean Stew

Reviewed: Sep. 22, 2009
Hubby raved about this dish! He was truly HAPPY having it leftover!! We all enjoyed this dish. The only changes I made were adding a stalk of celery chopped up, 1/2 cup of white wine and 1/2 pkg. of Uncle Wiley's Bean & Pea seasoning. (This is a Southern thing, I think.) THANKS for a great recipe!

Zippy Shepherd's Pie

Reviewed: May 7, 2009
We loved this! I did use half ground beef and half ground lamb.(It's not really "Shepherd's pie" unless you use lamb.) The 14 oz. beef broth was a little too much -- I ended up using two teaspoons (double) of cornstarch to thicken it up. I will increase the potatoes next time too. Hubby and kids LOVED IT!! Thanks!

Loosemeat Sandwiches III

Reviewed: Apr. 10, 2009
I've made this several times as written and it is wonderful. Hubby specifically requested it tonight, and I made using other combined reviewer's suggestions - using beef broth and Coke to simmer the meat. Hubby LOVED IT!! He is a Chicago native and he KNOWS his food! He's also a great cook. He went back for seconds AND thirds! I also added onion and garlic to the meat as it was browning. This is definately a KEEPER!

Kielbasa and Cabbage

Reviewed: Mar. 25, 2008
My Polish husband RAVED about this dish! He said it was even better than his (Polish)Dad's. He even thanked me again for dinner as we turned in for the evening. It was wonderful! My 19 & 10 yr old daughters said it was "THE BEST!"(Which I totally did not expect.) I did saute the onions and garlic before adding the other ingredients. The caraway seeds and the pepper flakes add so much! This one is DEFINATELY a KEEPER!! Thanks Kit!

Soul Smothered Chicken

Reviewed: Mar. 30, 2005
Totally FANTASTIC! The only change I made was to reduce the onions to 1 cup. My family loved it!My 7 yr. old came back twice for more rice, chicken & carrots (she loves carrots). This will definately be a recipe we will use often!

Fruited Curry Chicken Salad

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2004
This recipe was WONDERFUL! We loved it! My 20 year old daughter and I are the "curry" lovers in our family and we both totally enjoyed this. I didn't have the grapes, and I increased the curry to 1 1/2 tsp.--those are the only changes I made. We'll be making (AND enjoying!) this recipe a LOT! Thanks!

Double Quick Dinner Rolls

Reviewed: Dec. 14, 2002
These were great! My kids loved them! I think that the person who made the "too complicated" remark must not have too much experience in baking raised yeast doughs, because this one was so quick, easy, simple and GOOD!
