My cooking triumphs
Most of my thousands of results are triumphant!!! Perhaps when my family and friends try to outsmart each other to get the last serving or hide the leftovers from each other.....or when I have 4 kids but find 10 in the house at meal time!! If people will go to great lengths to get your food, you know it must be good.
My cooking tragedies
Getting a 9 X 13 pan out of the refrigerator on Thanksgiving and popping it into the oven, thinking it was the sour cream potatoes. It was, in fact, the 7-layer salad. Too bad, because I LOVE 7-layer salad (but not baked).

To Die For Blueberry Muffins
When I filled the tins 1/2 full I got 11 tiny muffins. The second time I got 9, filling 2/3 full and they were about medium-size. This doesn't make much batter and it is very thick. They didn't rise well. They spread over the top of the pan a bit. The topping is very much like a streusel topping rather than a crumb and I liked it but didn't find the muffins were so great.

Chocolate Chip Granola Cookies
These cookies were OK, not the best I've had. The recipe only yielded 30 medium-sized cookies for me. Perhaps if I had used a different granola the results would have been better. I make my own granola and made a fresh batch before making these cookies so they were soft and chewy instead of crunchy. The baking time was perfect and the sweetness was just right but they were a bit heavy and dense. I prefer a lighter cookie.

Black Bean Brownies
BAD aftertaste. They look like brownies but even if you can get past the strange texture and convince yourself you can't taste the beans, they really stick with you in a bad way. I love brownies and I substitute healthier ingredients in them all the time, but won't use beans again...!
