Awesome Slow Cooker Pot Roast

Reviewed: Aug. 22, 2011
WOW! Ten stars! After reading other reviews, I added red wine and worcestershire in addition to the listed ingredients. I also seasoned the chuck roast with salt, garlic powder and dusted with flour before browning on all sides. I cooked my roast on low for 8 hours and what came out was nothing short of a miracle. I served with "addictive mashed potatoes" from this site and myself and my family were BLOWN AWAY! Tasted like something out of dream. I laughed when I took my first bite. The gravy is ridiculously good. This will become a staple in my kitchen for sure!

Chicken-Parmesan Bundles

Reviewed: Aug. 22, 2011
This is a nice twist on the chicken parm I usually do. My only complaint is I put too much spinach in my cheese mixture and felt that overwhelmed the gooey cheese taste that I love OH so much. I'm going to half the spinach next time, maybe even omit altogether. Not trying to diss Kraft, but using fresh grated cheeses and not packaged will enhance the flavor of the dish ten-fold. Will definitely make again

Addictive Mashed Potatoes

Reviewed: Aug. 22, 2011
If you take to heart any review, please let this be the one. I have been in the kitchen for a long time and feel I truly know what people love to eat. You MUST try this potato recipe. I substituted 1/2 TB kosher salt for the soy sauce because I was out but other than that, followed to a T using red potatoes. It's creamy, flavorful, rich but not overwhelming, complex but totally familiar. It's the perfect mashed potato dish. Nevermind the other reviews that claim too much is going on. This will be on my table for every holiday and many nights in between. Excellent!

Broccoli Chicken Divan

Reviewed: Aug. 18, 2011
This is a great base for broccoli chicken divan. I suggest adding a can of cream of chicken soup along with the can of broccoli cheddar soup. Also add 1/2 cup sour cream. It needs an umph of flavor, so I marinated my chicken breasts in italian dressing for 8 hours before cooking and shredding, added 1/2 tsp cayenne, a cooked diced yellow onion, and 2 cooked and minced cloves of garlic. Additional salt/pepper to taste and you are in business.

Mrs. Sigg's Snickerdoodles

Reviewed: Aug. 18, 2011
By far the best snickerdoodle recipe I've come across. I suggest using half brown sugar half granulated sugar and refrigerating your prepared dough balls prior to baking. Cook 7 1/2 minutes and get them off the cookie sheet immediatly. These tips will create an even more melt-in-your- mouth effect! They will seem slightly underdone but once they cool, you will have the absolute best cookie.
