Peach Cobbler Dump Cake I

I used a French Vanilla cake mix, (it was all I had) and grated the cold butter like someone mentioned. Great idea! My house smells like Disney World main street! Tastes very good. I added cinnamon sugar mixture to the top and only had to bake it35 minutes. It was done. Great recipe!!

Light Oat Bread

Made it into rolls and used Honey instead of sugar. Used my bread machine on DOUGH setting, took it out, put them in pie tins let them rise again and baked them. Good rolls!

Oven-Baked Caramel French Toast

I know better than to try out a new recipe on Christmas day. :( I have yet to try a soak overnight french toast recipe that isnt soggy. I did reduce the milk to 1 cup and used Texas Toast. It was still soggy in parts and dry in others. ? Its too sweet too, and I LOVE sweets. Maybe all the other sweets that come with Christmas is too much and I should make a savory Breakfast recipe for us. Who knows. I didnt enjoy this at all and made it exactly as stated just reducing the milk by half a cup in hopes to reduce soggi-ness. No luck. I gave it 3 stars because it did have a good taste. i could probably tweak it and come up with something yummy. But regular french toast is actually better than this. Good luck.

Fluffy Pancakes

My family LOVED these! I have 'tortured' them for years with flat, whole grain pancakes. This was a real treat for them. :) Thank you for this recipe! Next time I will double it to make more. But I would serve this on Christmas, thats how good they were.

White Cheese Chicken Lasagna

This part of the recipe is KILLER if you set it aside then use it to pour over fetucchini noodles and chicken. The best! **Melt the butter in a large saucepan over medium heat. Cook the onion and garlic in the butter until tender, stirring frequently. Stir in the flour and salt, and simmer until bubbly. Mix in the broth and milk, and boil, stirring constantly, for 1 minute. Stir in 2 cups mozzarella cheese and 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese. Season with the basil, oregano, and ground black pepper. Remove from heat, and set aside.

Easy Peach Crisp I

The taste of this is incredible! I used fresh/frozen peaches but ran into the problem of it being too runny. I wanted to make the recipe one time as its listed to see for myself what needed to be changed then change it next time. Cutting in the butter just makes sense so you dont have globs of butter, where its runny and then dry spots where theres just cake mix like I had. DEFINITELY one to experiment with. The taste was just too good!!!!!!!

Honey Wheat Sandwich Rolls

Skillet Pork Chops with Potatoes and Onion

Apple Crumb Bars

Pretty good. Easy to make. I read how some reviewers thought it was bland so I used Maple and Brown sugar oatmeal packets for the oatmeal. It was more of a topping for ice cream to me though, mine didnt make 'bars' but then again we ate it right out of the oven. We loved it. Will make it again when I need something quick to do with apples that are about to go bad. Thanks!

Blackberry Pie I

I have access to a blackberry bush but dont like blackberries. My husband does so I picked some, used this recipe and just had some. It was really impressive. So easy to use, my husband just gobbled up 3 pieces. (omg!) I made homemade whipped cream to go with it, and it was really good, I must admit. I dont like the tartness opf berries but in the pie, its really sweet and not runny at ALL. thanks! Its in my recipe box for good now.

Peach Pie

omg. this peach pie is insane. I just made my FIRST fruit pie ever and it was this one for a BBQ with fresh peaches. Everyone gobbled it up and said it reminded them of their grandmas or moms pie. I was almost laughing, because it was my first one ever!!!!! LOOK NO FURTHER, this should be in everyones recipe box. Because you can probably use a lot of different fruits for this pie. THANK YOU!

Apple Enchiladas

I have tried a LOT of recipes on this site and this one is just o.k. It was really good but there are so many other things to make besides this. My husband didnt really like them either. They were better as they sat longer, let me say. So let them sit, they are good to try something different, and DO serve with vanilla ice cream, i like things VERY sweet though. Seems like the tortillas almost need to be fried or something.

Baked French Toast

Ok I am giving this 5 stars. I didnt have french bread so just used regular wheat. I didnt cut it up into pieces until the mroning and think that helped with the soggy factor everyone talks about. I didnt use any milk, just the half and half also didnt use all the milk mixture, I dipped the bread pieces in the mixture just like you would for regular french bread and then drizzled a bit on top of the bread too. And the topping in the morning, i used only a half stick of butter. I still used syrup too it didnt seem very sweet to me for some reason. And as it sits it gets better!! I will try to make this again with french bread and im sure it will be awesome. I will add vanilla extract to the brown sugar topping too, it needed something else, but it carmelizes awesome!! This definitely needs an hour in the oven, not 40 minutes, just watch it, you want it brown and a little hard in spots, the carmelized parts are the best tasting parts!

Brown Sugar Meatloaf

This recipe was so good! My picky husband ate 3 helpings of it!! With 3 of us, it was gone. I couldnt believe it. I followed the recipe exactly and would only do one thing.. add more saltine crackers. It was almost perfect, but I will add maybe almost double what it called for. YUM, try this. I hate meatloaf and loved this. Its just sweet enough, doesnt even taste like meatloaf!!

Banana Cream Pie III

Well, my husband just came in here and told me, thats one hel-luva banana pie, babe! LOL he is SO picky its sick, so for his approval, TRY THIS!! Its easy and awesome. The best I have ever had. I made my own pie crust let it cool, and the next morning filled it. I topped it with heavy whipping cream and cugar beat until fluffy and topped with the bananas-beautiful! I made it for easter dinner and half the pie was gone.. My small family had MANY choices of desserts too!! So, GREAT recipe..

Baked Ziti I

Ok, I am eating leftovers of this as I type this review. LOL it is SO good leftover too!! THis was easy to make and I made it for company they loved it too! Makes a TON, a good change. I would NOT use sour cream again though, I would try ricotta cheese. The sour cream didnt melt or anything, just sat there and didnt really blend with the other flavors. Leftovers my husband would not eat because of it. Ricotta makes more sense.

Basic Flaky Pie Crust

Beautiful! And how much cheaper are these to make then the real butter ones that arent even flaky! I threw out my old recipe once I tasted these. THis was SO insanely flaky and buttery flavored. I got the butter flavored crisco, instead of regular. And did refrigerate it to rest it for 30 minutes before rolling it. It didnt make ANY extra, in fact, was a bit chintzy on how much it made at all, REALLY had to work with it to make it fit into a regular pie crust. But wow, what a crust. Everyone at easter supper commented on how good the crust was. Calling me Martha. (I am by NO means like martha stewart, but they were making fun of me becuase I found time to make my own crust..) Little did they know it took only a few minutes to make. MAKE SURE EVERYTHING IS CHILLED!!! THAT IS THE SECRET TO A GOOD PIE CRUST!! I put the shortening in the freezer for a few minutes, I measured it, and put it in the freezer. Oh one more thing, to pre bake a pie crust, you DO NOT need to add beans or rice into it as weights. ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IT PRICK IT WITH A FORK ABOUT 10 TIMES ON THE BOTTOM AND PRE BAKE IT. It will not fluff up and will turn out beautifully!

Old Fashioned Coconut Cream Pie

Well, I was afraid this would not turn out just because what makes it taste coconutty? Well, I think the secret is making it the night before and letting the flavors blend overnight in the fridge covered in plastic wrap. It took FOREVER to make tho, that constant stirring almost killed me! But it was the best pie at Easter dinner. well worth it. Also, WATCH your coconut. If you toast it, it burns rather quickly if you dont watch it. I had to make 2 batches before I got it right. EVERYONE loved this! SUPER creamy and yummy! I topped it with heavy whipping cream and powdered sugar beat until ultra fluffy and topped it with that, SO nice and beautiful! I will make this forever now. Next time I may add 1/2 tsp to 1 tsp of coconut extract and see if that makes it sweeter. It tastes mainly like cream, sweet cream. I like a strong coconut flavor tho.

Award Winning Peaches and Cream Pie

Wow, this tasted SO good. I made it for Easter and made a bunch of other pies so this didnt get eaten like it would have if i only made this for dessert. The cream cheese tastes SO good. I would omit cinnamon and sugar, i didnt like it on the topping. I made it in a square 8 x 8 pan instead because i ran out of pie pans and it was just as good. I would next time cut the peaches up at least into thirds. The huge peach pieces gross me out, just too big and too much. I also topped it with cool whip topping to make it look prettier, it doesnt look all that great without it. Taste is REALLY unexpected and different. VERY good. 5 Stars and will make it again.
