These Cookies are fantastic. Not sure what everyone is talking about re a flat cookie. They definitely flatten as they bake but don't all cookies?
I didn't bother with the chilling pre baking. But I do really blend the butter sugar mixture for quite some time to get the sugars to break down and smooth out. I also blend for a good amount of time when the eggs are added. Maybe this helps with keeping their form. I also use Dark brown sugar which I believe adds more depth to the overall flavour. My only concern is that maybe there are TOO many chocolate chips! LOL. Sometimes I add ground walnuts for flavour as well. My kids don't like the texture of nuts in their cookies, so this is a good compromise.
