I made the recipe as written, and it was fine. It definitely had plenty of flavor (which it should, due to the fat in the dog and the cream cheese, plus the caramelized onion and sauerkraut). But I've lived in Seattle for my entire adult life, and was born & raised within 40 miles, and this was the first I've EVER heard of this menu item! I've never seen it offered around Safeco or Qwest Field (where our professional baseball and football teams play) nor around the Kingdome, their precursor. Although I must admit, if this were offered only on late-night bar menus, I might have missed it, as I don't party "after the bars close" these days. At any rate, it was a fine recipe, just nothing spectacular.
