David's Yellow Cake

My first time trying to make a cake from scratch - and it turned out fabulous! I have now made it several times and it is always rich and moist. I am currently living in France and I have used the patisserie flour in place of the cake flour. If you are looking for a good tasting recipe and don't have a lot of experience with cooking from scratch, I definitely recommend this one.

Butter Whip Frosting

If you love the flavor of almond, this recipe is incredible! It was my first time doing a cake icing from scratch and it came out perfect. I used it on a pyramid shaped cake for a birthday and it stayed put and even had a bit of a "sandy" look to it which was great.
