Brunch Baked French Toast

Reviewed: Aug. 6, 2013
It is rare when we don't have a loaf of French Bread lurking around so this is right up my alley. It was just a bit stale...perfect! Turned out firm but nice and moist inside. I would not change a thing, the sugar coated side is almost carmelised and we just topped it with a bit of powdered sugar. This is now my go to recipe for French toast for brunches...so, so easy and so, so perfect.

Baked Custard

Easy, peasy...an all around great recipe for dessert, babies, breakfasts, snacks. The texture is great, I carmelized some sugar on top after baking...tasted just like a flan the next day. Making it today again for tomorrows dinner.

Beef Stroganoff III

Reviewed: Jan. 29, 2013
This is about as easy a stroganoff recipe as it gets. I made it easier by using dried onions that went in with the beef broth. I also added an extra cup of water to extend the simmering time.

Very sweet, dense and awesome! 6-4-11 Making this again this morning for my family home for the 4th...so easy to make but I prefer just to cream the liquids then add all the dry and let it mix well in my stand alone mixer...so awesome I'll be making it for the holidays.

Washabinaros Chili

Reviewed: Aug. 3, 2009
WhenI first looked at the recipe I thought hungry/drinking college kids throwing whatever was handy in a pot, lol!! To my suprise this is a fantastic chili. I did not want to run to the store so I used two bags of pinto beans I'd cooked and frozen and 1 can of refried beans to make it thick(more like a con carne)...then I used one can of kidney beans at the end. We topped with cheddar and green onions...a keeper and a great Fall/Tailgating recipe.

Nice and easy, I added peppers too. Not as "sassy" as I'd like but a great recipe for kids.

What a hit for Thnksgiving day! I read the reviews in advance so I left out the sugar...I can't imagine what it would have added. Creamy and the skins make a nice twist.

Chicken Pot Pie III

Reviewed: Oct. 30, 2007
Very simple. I used 1 15oz can of veggies and 1 can of white potatos cut up. Cream of roasted garlic mushroom soup amd Cream of broccoli, onion powder, garlic powder and 1 crushed bullion cube an 1/4 cup of milk. The refrigerated crusts ad viola...a meal you're family will love. I think you could use just about any variety of soups to switch this up and it would still be great.

Chocolate Butter-Creme Frosting

Fantastic recipe! We used it on "Jan's Chocolate Cake" also found here. I made it for my 24 year old's birthday and the entire family was so impressed as it rivaled any good bakery product. We liked the light chocolate flavor and I agree with the professional baker's comment...excellent and easy frosting.
