Apple Strudel Muffins

Reviewed: Oct. 5, 2013
Very delicious. I used 2 chopped apples, half brown/white sugar, 1 tsp cinnamon, and also a mashed banana just because I had a ripe one I needed to use. They were very moist and flavorful. It made 12 huge muffins.

Quick and Easy Chicken Noodle Soup

Reviewed: Sep. 30, 2013
This was the first time I made homemade chicken noodle and it was so much better than the can! I used twice the amount of veggies and noodles and I think I'll put even more veggies in next time. I cooked the chicken in the broth for the 20 minutes. It definitely helped all of our sore throats.

Ninety Minute Cinnamon Rolls

Reviewed: Sep. 23, 2013
This recipe was very easy and fast. It tasted pretty darn good but not as good as the cinnabon clone recipe. I baked in a 9x13 for 20 min. Flipped it over on a pan when it got out of the oven. Ate it with cream cheese frosting! 4 oz cr cheese, 1/3 c butter, 2 c powdered sugar, 1/2 tsp vanilla and a pinch of salt. Yum!

Yummy! I followed the review of momtoktl. I doubled the recipe, used 3/4c each sugar, 2 apples, no nuts, topped with only 1T sugar and 1t cinnamon, baked in 9x13 for 30 minutes. So easy and delicious!

Pretty delicious! I cut the recipe in half and baked in an 8x8 pan. The only thing I would suggest is more lemon juice.

Beef Stew VI

Reviewed: Aug. 28, 2013
Very delicious! I seasoned the meat before I browned it. I also added a little bit of worcestershire and A-1 sauce. I used Knorrs beef bullion and those cubes are twice the size so you only need 2. Tonight for leftovers we'll eat it over rice!

Scones

Reviewed: Aug. 1, 2013
These are so good! I followed the recipe exact. After adding the milk it's pretty wet so I just used extra flour when kneading. The scones were huge so next time I'll divide the dough in half and cut each into 8 to make 16! I ate them with jelly. Yum!

Mrs. Sigg's Snickerdoodles

These were delicious! There wasn't enough cinnamon sugar mix. I thought there was too much cinnamon the first time so I cut it in half the second time. Perfect!

Red Velvet Cupcakes

Reviewed: May 11, 2012
I only made 2 changes, I used 1/4 cup of cocoa, and 2 1/4 cups of flour. The result was very moist and rich! There was plenty of chocolate. I baked in 2 9 inch pans for about 35 min. I used a different cream cheese frosting. 1 pkg cr. cheese, 1 cube butter, 3 3/4 cups conf. sugar, & 3 tsps vanilla. This is now my favorite cake!

David's Yellow Cake

Reviewed: May 2, 2012
I tested half this recipe for a birthday cake next week. It tasted really good but definitely watch your cooking time! I baked it for 25 minutes and a toothpick came out wet. I put it in for another 3 minutes and it was dry. Next time I'll check it every 1 minute.

Very good! I didn't have thyme, and I doubled the crust. It was delicious. I think my younger kids might like it without the cayenne next time.

It's Chili by George!!

Reviewed: Feb. 23, 2012
This chili was amazing! I used petite diced tomatoes instead of juice, and didnt have any oregano. I completely forgot to add the cumin, as I'm looking at the recipe right now! I cooked it in a crock pot for 8 hours. YUM! Next time I'll actually remember the cumin.

Very good! I didn't have buttermilk so I used a 1/2 tbsp of lemon juice and 1/2 cup milk, let sit for 5 minutes, and used 1/3 of a cup. I also added 1 tsp vanilla and no nuts. This was delicious. Will be making more of these!
