About this Cook
I'm a new mother to a sweet little boy! My husband & I want to be able to make great meals for Ethan! We need some really good recipes for our family of 4 (my 16 year old sister also lives with us!) We dont eat spicey foods except my husband!
My favorite things to cook
I love to bake!!! I have alot of ambition to cook the problem is I grew up on box everything so I'm learning!! I love love love steak!!! I'm always looking for new ways to marinade my steaks, my husband is a griller!! I just need alot of help overall with learning things!
My favorite family cooking traditions
I love Thanksgiving & birthdays, Thanksgiving is a good way to get family & friends together with a big meal!! If everyone brings a different dish it is a tasting delight!! Birthdays are great because you can experiment a lot with snacks!! I'm a huge fan of sandwhich rolls!!
My cooking triumphs
I don't have any......once I use the grill though, that will be triumphant for me, hahaha!!
My cooking tragedies
When I was younger, I tried to make rice-a-roni in the microwave & instead it just burned to the bottom of the bowl & stunk up our house for a couple days!! Hahaha, good times!!

Peking Pork Chops
Made this recipe yesterday & it came out great! They just fell apart, it was delicious. I did do a couple of things SLIGHTLY different, I left the fat on the pork chops & I made the regular amount of sauce for only 4 chops. I would actually recommend doing a double recipe for topping on the pork chops & even on the rice, if you choose to make any.

Marinated Baked Pork Chops
Tried this recipe for dinner & it came out pretty good. My kids wouldn't eat it but they don't eat anything haha but hubby & I thought it was good. I did double the marinade recipe & put a little over half in a bag with the 4 boneless pork chops then I used our vacuum sealer to seal it & put it in the fridge for 4 hours. I then used the remainder of the sauce to brush on the top of the pork chops half way through the cook time & the rest my husband used to dunk his chops in.(This sauce was not used on the raw pork chops, it was placed in a separate dish once made & placed in the fridge.)

Hearty Ham Casserole
Made this recipe for dinner the other night! Loved it! I did double the ham & potatoes because it just didn't seem like much, ended up filling the intire pan to the top with just enough space for cheese! I used mozzarella & mild cheddar for the cheese because that's what I had on hand! I was actually pleasantly surprised that my hubby liked it as much as he did! :-)
