This cake was yum-yum! It stayed moist even after freezing! I can't wait to try this with cream cheese frosting. I do think ,next time, I will leave out the walnut. Thanx for the recipe! Can't wait to make this for the holidays!

Doughnut Muffins

Reviewed: Mar. 12, 2003
These were really good! I liked that they took no time at all to prepare. I didn't think they tasted like doughnuts but they still were very good. I did sprinkle the cinnamon and sugar before I baked them. The kids loved them. Thanx for the recipe!

Awesome and Easy Creamy Corn Casserole

Reviewed: Mar. 12, 2003
This was pretty good. However, I wish it had a more "done" flavor. It seemed to set up well and the texture felt done but it kind of had a undercooked cornbread flavor. It may have been the cornbread mix I used. I am going to try this again and see what happens.

I never was a rice pudding fan until I tried this recipe.I made it for my daughter , who loves rice pudding. Of corse I had to taste it and make sure it was edible.....WOW!!! I used half and half instead of milk. It came out very creamy and light! Can't wait to make this for the holidays! Thanx for the great recipe!

Award Winning Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Mar. 4, 2003
These cookies were pretty good! They had some very good things about them: they weren't greasy, they were soft, they held together well, and the recipe made a lot. They were a little cakey though.I used French Vanilla instant pudding. I think next time I will try the Cheesecake flavored pudding mix, just to see what flavors come thru in the cookie. Will keep this recipe on hand. Thanx!

Great cookies! Everyone really enjoyed these. The texture was good, crisp outter rim and soft in the middle. But be warned the cookies must sit for a few minutes before removing from the pan to totally cool. Will make many many times to come. Thanx for the great recipe!!

Bacon Cheddar Chive Muffins

Reviewed: Feb. 12, 2003
I loved these muffins! The kids thought they were okay and the husband said if it had a little less garlic flavor he thought he might enjoy them more. The texture was good and the moistness was there. They reheat great. I think next time I will lighten up on the garlic and use a less fine cheddar cheese. We ate them for breakfast but I can see them served with creamy potato soup and side salad.

Chocolate Peanut Butter Wacky Cake

Reviewed: Feb. 9, 2003
My family and I really liked this cake. I didn't make the frosting. The cake was moist and not overly sweet. The texture had a fudgey feel. I can't wait to make this with a cream cheese frosting. Or maybe caramel and pecan topping. The possibilities are endless. With the cake not being too sugary it allows to play with different toppings that may be heavy on sweetness. The prep time was quick and it's kid friendly too. I think a little cinnamon in the batter would give it a little zing! Thanks for the recipe!

Dumplings

Reviewed: Feb. 9, 2003
These dumpling were yummy! One thing that drew me to try them was there was no egg! I love eggs, but not overpowering the flavor of the dumplings. They were easy to make. The only thing if you are a dumpling lover is make the recipe times three. I only doubled it and still had plenty of broth for more. For my family, chicken and dumpling are just that, nothing else.......no veggies, nothing. This recipe is a keeper for us.Thanx!

Best Brownies

Reviewed: Jan. 24, 2003
We are a busy family and try to enjoy as much together time as possible. These brownies allowed for that, quick and easy. The kids loved to help. The flavor was really good but not over powering with chocolate. The texture was light. I messed up on the frosting, but it recovered nicely once the brownies had cooled and set-up.We tried them warm and cooled and all preferred them cooled! Will make again! Thanks for the great recipe!
