Hot Buttered Rum Batter

Reviewed: Mar. 6, 2005
I thought this was great... I use cider exclusively in place of water, but I do that with everything like this. This is very rich and creamy... definitely the best I've tried! P.S. If you change everything in the recipe (amounts, ingredients, cooking time) and then ultimately you don't like the end result, don't come back and rate the recipe a "three". Don't rate the recipe at ALL unless you FOLLOW it; that's just not fair.

Fantastic! This is without a doubt the best alfredo recipe I've found. Simple and easy and fast... this will be a regular in my house!

Strawberry Cobbler I

Reviewed: Feb. 25, 2004
For some reason this turned out MUCH too salty. It was also pretty gloppy and runny. It tasted okay, but I don't think I'll be making this one again.

Barbequed Pork Ribs

Reviewed: Feb. 25, 2004
Fantastic! I doubled the amount of sauce because I was doubling the amount of meat; turns out I didn't need to. I had entirely too much sauce and nothing to do with it. The ribs were phenomenal-- very tender and flavorful! I will definitely make this dish again.

Savory Chicken Breasts

Reviewed: Sep. 14, 2003
Wow! This is an unbelieveable recipe! Everything about it is perfect! My husband would like for me to cook "that good chicken" every night, I swear. I'm actually making it tonight! I like to serve it over rice... it's an incredibly hearty and moist dish. I can't say enough about it. Thanks, Lori!

Strawberry Pie II

Reviewed: Apr. 6, 2003
WOW! This pie is amazing! I, too, used extra berries and cut them into quarters. I also added a Tablespoon of lemon juice to cut the sweetness. I thought it was a perfect combination of sweet and tart. The consistancy was wonderful, too! Just a note: strawberries by their nature don't like to be "mashed". Allow for "mash" time.

Sinfully Delicious Chocolate Pie

Reviewed: Jan. 25, 2003
Oh, man! Is this pie ever amazing!! I whipped up three of them for a party, and two of them were eaten before DINNER was served!! It is vital that each egg be beaten for at least five minutes... I actually beat mine for closer to 6 minutes because I have a KitchenAid mixer to do it for me. If you have one, use it. I also used Ultra Fine Sugar so that it would be that much creamier... this is a great recipe! Truly!

Chicken Cordon Bleu I

Reviewed: Jan. 24, 2003
This was sensational! And so easy! I also didn't add salt because of the saltiness of the ham, and it was perfect! I rolled everything together, dipped the whole roll into beaten eggs, then into breadcrumbs with some garlic. I then took the advice of another reviewer and cooked the chicken at 400 for 25 minutes instead of 350 to keep the chicken moist-- it worked like a charm! FYI: I ran out of ham, so I used roast beef in one chicken roll. It was awful. Stick with ham or turkey. And mozzerella cheese works well, too! Thanks!
