Amish White Bread
I was so intimidated to try this, but it didn't come out too bad for my first time. :) I did brush the tops with melted butter and used cooking spray on the pans. I also let the yeast proof in the Kitchen Aid mixing bowl as suggested. After I punched it down and put it aside to rise the second time, the loaves still didn't rise an inch over the top of the pans. They crumbled and didn't look quite like in the picture. was darn tasty though. I'm going to try again this weekend and use the niece and nephews as my guinea pigs.

YUMMM!! I didn't have unsalted butter; I only had regular butter on hand so I left out the salt. I think my oven runs too hot; they were done after the first 20 minutes (any longer they would have been charcoal). These were soooo good! Thank you for sharing! Ohmigosh. I want more...

Thanks to other Reviewers! I left out the salt (diet restriction) and I used PAM to spray the insides and top of my muffin tin. I also watched them closely so they came out perfectly golden, crispy on the outside. They just didn't rise like in the picture...not sure if I mixed too long or if my oven wasn't hot enough. It also made about 8 of them (I baked in a 6 muffin tin). Didn't matter though. They were still YUM! Thank you for the recipe. Will definitely save and make again.
