Restaurant-Style Taco Meat Seasoning

It was a good substitute to the packets you get in the grocery store. Even though it was good something tasted like it was missing. I didnt have corn flour or beef boullion so that may have made the difference.I will however use again.

Creamy Baked Chicken

This came out very good. The only mod I did was per an earlier poster and added some butter. It came out very rich and creamy and was so good over rice. The next time I will use reduced fat soups and sour cream because with the butter I know this was fattening. But tasted so good!!!

Thin Mint Crackers

I reviewed this earlier but wanted to update because I've made them several times since then. I figured out something; don't put the peppermint extract in the chocolate until it is fully melted. If you put the peppermint extract in the chocolate and then melt it in the microwave the extract burns the chocolate and makes it crumbly and hard, hence those reviewers having to use oil to make it smooth again. Once the chocolate is fully melted stir well and then put your extract in! For the holidays I used white chocolate chips too. Also crushed some peppermints and added green and/or red sprinkles.

Carrot and Raisin Salad I

This was off the chain. Of course I had to modify as usual but it still came out good. I'm on Weight Watchers so I needed a recipie without all the fat of the mayo. I used 7 carrots, 3 apples, 2 cups raisins, 3 tablespoons Miracle Whip Lite, 1 cup non fat plain yogurt, a dash of pineapple juice and Splenda to taste. It was wet without being overly juicy and good and crunchy. Just like my Mama's!

Chocolate Macaroons I

I used splenda instead of white somehow i only ended up with 12 cookies! but they were still good!they looked so good i ate one 2 seconds out of the was sweet,not too sweet (maybe the splenda?) plus i didnt use chocolate cause none on hand.they came out soft and crispy too!
