Peanut Butter Bars I

Reviewed: Nov. 16, 2011
Taste was great we loved them, but the texture og the crumbs and the peanutbutter bottom was a put off for me. Maybe I just didn't make the crumbs fine enough? Though not sure how much finer I could have made them than using a heavy marble rolling pin to crush them.

Sticky Monkey Brains

Reviewed: Feb. 25, 2011
Not sure if I should really review this. I honestly have not made it from this recipie, but I grew up on this stuff and make it all the time. We call it monkey bread, and use unthawed frozen bread dough. We also added raisins. YUM YUM

Gayle's Oatmeal Crack Cookies

Reviewed: Feb. 20, 2011
These were GREAT! I didn't have the butter flavored shortening, so I used all butter. I also did not have ground cloves and when I went to the store to buy some it was $8 for a small bottle. So instead I used apple pie spice.Maybe next time I have the money I will splurge and try to get soem ground cloves and try them. After reading some reviews I also only baked mine for only 9 minutes. I also left them on the cookie sheet to cool for a few mins. before trying to move them to a wire rack because they were very soft when they came out. All in all, once my family tried the cookies I had to watch them like hawks before they ran off with the rest of them.

Baked Oatmeal Squares

Reviewed: Jan. 20, 2010
My kids went crazy over this! However it was quite crumbly instead of coming out in squares. More then likely my own fault though. I followed the recipe, but I did double it and maybe it just didn't bake long enough to set right. Only thing I may change in the future would be to add more spices like nutmeg, cloves, or apple pie spice.

Crockpot Steak

My family almost drools when I tell them this is on the week's menu. I am sure many people will add thier own little touches, but we think it is perfect as it is.

Pumpkin Pancakes

Reviewed: Oct. 18, 2009
Nobody in my family liked these at all! They were such a disapointment that I could not even think of what to do to salvage them. They had very little flavor and were very flat.

Chicken Enchiladas II

Reviewed: Oct. 18, 2009
These were an instant hit with my family. They have moved to the list of favorite meals. I didn't measure out my chicken very well and I think I ended up with about 1 1/2 times the chicken I should have..but everything mixed together fine and they turned out WONDERFUL. I have to make a double batch next time. We fought over the last one.

Parmesan Chicken

Reviewed: Oct. 18, 2009
This was really really good. Now I don't have to wait for my husband to take me out to get Patmesan Chicken. Getting the chicken really really thin is a MUST. I could not get mine thin enough, so I finished it by baking it covered so it would cook through faster. It turned out good, but the breading was not crispy enough anymore. Of coarse I served it with tomatoe sauce and cheese over pasta. YUMMY, and my family LOVED it..and it was very easy.

Fluffy Pancakes

Reviewed: Oct. 18, 2009
These were WONDERFUL. We are not a big pancake eating family, but these really hit the spot. Only problem I found with this recipie, is that it is not BIG ENOUGH! I followed the recipie exactly except I also let the milk sour a little longer. I just made it first and let it sit while I put everything else together. I can't belive how good these were...and I am really picky about my pancakes and I have not found any I truley liked since my favorite restraunt closed.

Sweet and Sour Chicken I

Reviewed: Oct. 16, 2009
My family loved this so much! We are thinking about using it with shrimp next time. The batter was so yummy, that we fried some of the left over batter and had crispies with our chicken. As a matter of fact, you could probably just use the batter recipie, add some sugar and use it to make funnel cakes, or roll the crispies in cinnimon and sugar for dessert.

Navajo Fry Bread II

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2004
Like most everyone else I cut the salt WAY down and my dough was very sticky so I adjusted it too. However it turned out really really good. I did one other modification. I rolled mine out instead of patting them. I had NO idea how thick these are supposed to be since I have never even seen fry bread before let alone eaten it. I was afraid that I would pat them out and make them to think therfore they would not cook well in the middle. By rolling them out I got something almost like a carnival elephant ear. My whole family loved them.

Puggie Woogie

Reviewed: Aug. 10, 2003
I thought the batter for this was too thin. I add a little more flour, some nutmeg and cinnamon. Next time I might add cocoa and make them chocolate. My family loved these.
