Okay I am still looking forward to a Atlantic City Round Up the weekend of may 31 2013. The west side of the country has had 2 round ups and gatherings recently and they look so fun. I am like a little child looking at a toy and I want one.
As I move around in the world of AR I notice that there are a lot of us from the upper east coast and this could be a great turn out.
From the responses I received earlier in the year, most interest was in a day trip and those that thought they would stay over night or the weekend weren't sure enough to book a hotel so I didn't block off any rooms and figured as we get closer to the date and everyone is more sure of what they are doing I would post links and such then.
Even if only a few respond in a positive manner I am going to be in Atlantic City that weekend. After all you have to start some where. A chance to meet face to face or to see each other again in a city built for fun, how can you go wrong. New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and New York are at their prettiest that time of year so even your trip to AC promises to be a good time.
There is a lot to do and see in Atlantic City as well as around Atlantic city. There is shopping, the boardwalk, the beach, the casinos, a free zoo in Cap May,not to mention restaurants.
So I really hope I see you there.
Please feel free to suggest ideas that you would like to do or to ask questions about anything.
One suggestion I have for you if you are day tripping or staying over and your staying at any of the casinos or parking at the casinos, get a comp card and even if you don't really gamble get one because just having one lowers the rate of parking. If you gamble and use the card you get discounts on food and such in the casino as well as offers for comped rooms in AC and Vegas.

I'm like you, Joey. Every time I hear of a round up, I so wish I could go. Plane fare is so high, and seems like I'm pretty far driving distance from most everybody. Ha! Seattle was just a tease for me, making me want to go to every round up there is! I hope lots of East Coasters will attend and enjoy their AR friendships!

Joey, you will have a great time. It doesn't matter whether it's 2 or 12, make it wonderful for yourselves. It's very hard to coordinate everyone's schedule. Have fun!

About Me
I am married I work part time in a flower shop. have 1 grandchild and 1 son.I like to cook, sew, make soap and I love the ocean.
My favorite things to cook
I love making fried foods,it is not so healthy for you but the flavor and juciness of fried food can't be beat.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Hands down has to be the Thanksgiving meal. The whole thing from the turkey to the pumpkin pie.
My cooking triumphs
Gravy! I am now the Queen of gravy but that wasn't always so.Lumpy was the least of my problems. For years I would buy the gravy in a jar,not any more I got determined and I mastered the art of gravy.
My cooking tragedies
Well I had many many gravy tragedies but I have had more baking bloopers then gravy.I can't seem to manage a cake from scratch, you can either use it as a clay brick or as saw dust on the floor,so I leave cake baking to others.
