Chocolate Trifle

I followed the recipe exactly and my family really enjoyed this. Very rich, but not at all to sweet for us. Would work well at a potluck.

This cake was fantastic served warm out of the oven. I topped it with a chocolate glaze made out of sugar, cocoa, and butter. We ate over half of the cake before it even had a chance to cool. The cake was still good the next day, but it was not as moist. I will make this again because it was good and simple. Perfect for those last minute dinner parties. You always have the ingredients on hand and it is best hot out of the stove.

Creamy Pear Pie

Different but really good. I was short on sour cream, so I used cottage cheese blended smooth instead. This would be good with other fruit. Next time I will try pineapple.

Lite Carrot Cake

Very good carrot cake. I have never made a carrot cake before and this recipe was simple and very tasty. I substituted all purpose flour for the cake flour, baking soda, and baking powder. Iced with store bought cream cheese icing. The cake was very moist but not heavy. My family proclaimed this recipe a a keeper.

Cranberry Pistachio Biscotti

One of the best recipes I have tried from this website. I made these for Christmas to give to friends. Everyone enjoyed them. The mix of flavors from the cranberries and the pistachios create a perfect combination. I tried other nut and fruit combos with this same recipe, but the original recipe is best.

Florentine Artichoke Dip

Very good. I only used one package of reduced fat cream cheese, and I left out the lemon juice. I used about 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder and about the same of onion salt. Marinated artichoke hearts really gave it a nice flavor.
