Quinoa with Mushrooms

Since I'm used to the really good quinoa at Whole Foods, I guess a little disappointed. A little bland for my taste. Hopefully, I can find one better.

Coffee Marinated Steak

I had coffee marinated steaks many years ago, so I was excited to see this recipe. Although I thought this dish was good, I will not include it in my personal "keeper box". I have had better marinades, so why settle.

Grilled Delmonico Steaks

Wow! That is all I can say. Made this for the family and everyone loved it. Given that there were many reviews that called for less salt, I decided to add four tablespoons of honey. Perfecto! Will use this for Ribeyes, T-Bones and Sirloins going forward.

Tomato-Cream Sauce for Pasta

I guess given the number of reviews, I expected a little better tasting sauce. I did add one more clove of garlic and more sugar, as I thought the sauce was too tart. Even after doing that, there was an unpleasant after-taste. I might try again with crushed tomatoes, but I'll see.

Restaurant-Style Buffalo Chicken Wings

Restaurant quality...I don't think so. Not bad, but not the greatest. The sauce was way too intense for all of our tastes. We'll go back to TGI Friday's for our wings.

Antipasto Squares

I followed the directions to a tee, but added a few more Italian cold cuts. I guess I was expecting something amazing. Although the squares were tasty, I cannot give this recipe more than 3 stars. I'll look for another recipe.

Butternut Squash Bisque

I love this bisque (and so did my guests), and it is reasonably healthy! I did not change any of the ingredients. However, with regard to the cooking time, I followed the instructions, but when the soup was on the watery side, I let it cool, and then reheated it for 15 - 20 minutes. This re-cooking really brought the bisque to the right consistency.

Classic Spanish Sangria

This was a very tasty and very potent sangria. After two glasses, my guests were definitely feeling no pain. My only changes were I added another 1/4 cup of sugar and 5 strawberries (halved). I might try one more recipe to compare since this was my first time making this drink.

Savory Garlic Marinated Steaks

This is an awesome marinade for steaks! I used it with some skirt steaks and they came out fabulous. Even though the recipe says to marinade the meat for 1-2 days, you can do it for only a few hours and they still come out great! I will never look for another marinade again.

Baked Ziti IV

This was an extremely tasty ziti dish. However, I altered the recipe a bit. I used ricotta instead of cottage cheese and 2 different types of sauce (burgandy marianara and tomato and basil). With each bite, I tasted a hint of rosemary, and being Italian, I was not used to that. Therefore, I'm going to try a few of the other ziti recipes on here and compare, but this was excellent!

Caesar Salad Supreme

I already had a Caesar dressing recipe that I was very satisfied with, but I figured I would try something new. Well, this recipe blew my old one away! This was fantastic!!! I will never need another Caesar recipe.

Brown Sugar Meatloaf

Chimichurri Sauce for Steaks

Ok, based on the other reviews, this review might have some scrathing there head, but I really did not like this marinade/sauce. It was way too powerful. Marinades/sauces are supposed to complement the entree, not disquise it. I have found others much better.
