Corn Casserole II

Reviewed: Jun. 7, 2004
This isn't very good - it IS very breadlike and not as good as any other traditional corn casserole recipe that comes out of the south.

Pot Stickers Traditional

Reviewed: Feb. 13, 2003
Excellent appetizer. I veered from the recipe pretty far though. Added carrots and left out Water chestnuts. Also, I used Italian sausage. Was very time consuming pinching the Gyoza skins together. Skipped the process of adding water to the pan, I just fried them and they were crispy and yummy.

Fresh Grapefruit Cake

Reviewed: Feb. 6, 2003
This is not good. TASTELESS! It doesn't taste like grapefruit at all! It might better be categorized as, "The Egg, Butter & Flour Cake". Perhaps you could eliminate the milk and add more grapefruit juice to it.

Tom Ka Gai (Coconut Chicken Soup)

Reviewed: Feb. 6, 2003
Tasted EXCELLENT, but I'd use light coconut milk next time to make it less fattening. Also, I couldn't find fish sauce, so I substituted soy sauce and that worked fine.

Crazy Chocolate Cake

Reviewed: Feb. 6, 2003
I was hesitant to try this recipe because a cake without butter or eggs? What the? But I had no eggs, and I was craving chocolate. It tastes good!A little big hard to pry out of the pan though, but I let it cool for a while before attempting it. Moist and delicious! Now I'm thinking, "Do cakes REALLY need butter and eggs?"
