Baked Teriyaki Chicken

Best recipe for teriyaki I've found! Not too sweet, not too acidic like so many others I've tried. I used brown sugar, powdered garlic (what I had on hand) and fresh ginger.

Chicken Lo Mein

My husband said this seemed restaurant quality. I think the flavors are reminiscent of Chinese take out, but thankfully less bland than most. Followed some of the other reviews and used chicken thighs, added oyster sauce, bell pepper, and sauteed cabbage, used 1/4 the amount of water, substituted the sugar with honey, and used chow mien noodles instead of linguine. Left out the garlic (not on purpose!) but I think it was fine without it.

Broccoli Beef I

Doubled the sauce as other reviewers did. This reminded me of the way my mom made stir fry in the 80s. Great for an easy dinner. 5 stars for nostalgia :)

Baked Ziti with Sausage

Nice, easy, quick dinner. I did as others and sauteed the onions and garlic with the sausage. I don't think I'd make this for company, but it made a great easy dinner for my husband and me. If I make it again, I'll probably use more cheese or decrease the amount of pasta.

Artichoke & Spinach Dip Restaurant Style

Followed directions and suggestions using a refrigerated alfredo sauce and doubling the cream cheese and mozzarella cheese. It was good, but it wasn't the amazing restaurant quality some of the other reviews led me to believe it would be. I brought it to a potluck and half was still left at the end. I also had to increase the cooking time to about 45 minutes before cheeses were "melted and bubbly" but that may just be from the doubling.

Kerri's Holiday Punch

Really good! My husband and I brought this along with Champagne Punch III, also from this website to a potluck. We both loved and prefer this one and several people agreed, but Champagne Punch III did run out faster. I followed other suggestions and used pink lemonade. With everything mixed together, it comes out a pretty sunset color.

Champagne Punch III

My husband and I brought this for a pot luck along with Kerri's Holiday Punch, also from this website. We both thought this one was good, but liked Kerri's better. However, we doubled this one and did not double Kerri's, but this one even doubled was gone first with everyone raving about it. Therefore, have to give it 5 stars.

Roasted Vegetables

I love this recipe as written and have used the method as written many times, but unlike some other reviewers I actually like it better with dry herbs (scaled down on the amounts, of course). When I've used fresh rosemary, it always seems burnt and bitter to me, in a bad way. I also prefer it without the vinegar, but that may be just me too. However you choose to tweak it and whichever vegetables you pick, it's still great and it always makes a great go-to side for pot-lucks.

World's Best Lasagna

This was my first time making lasagna and it came out amazing! I accidentally bought only one can of tomato sauce instead of two, so had to substitute a can of diced tomatoes, and used a whole pound of ground beef, but followed everything else. Everyone loved the taste of the sweet Italian sausage- if your grocery store has it I think it really makes this. This will be my one and only lasagna recipe from here on!

BBQ Chicken Pizza I

This came out really good, everyone loved it! I was careful to get just Hickory BBQ sauce instead of Hickory Brown Sugar BBQ sauce, which I think was important in not making this too sweet. Also, I think the smoked Gouda really is important to balance out flavor over another cheese. I used about half the onion and only a small fraction of the cilantro that was called for and added a little red pepper. I substituted maple syrup for the molasses because it was what I had. I will definitely make this again.

Guinness® Bread

This recipe is wonderful as is. No one in my family is even a huge Guinness fan, but everyone loved it. Followed the recipe exactly, although next time I might start checking the bread about 10 minutes early on the second cooking time or rotate the dish because the back of the loaf was just starting to burn. Fit great in a 9x9 Pyrex dish. This went really well with an Irish stew. It tastes great with or without honey butter, go with your personal preference on that one.

Apple Gouda Quesadillas

This won't be something I'll make all the time, but it was an interesting recipe. I used smoked Gouda and added bacon like other reviewers. I also mixed a little honey butter with the Dijon mustard to help counter some of the mustard's intensity (really glad I did, it still came out pretty strong). I used the Foreman propped open to make this on its highest setting using the cooking times indicated, which seemed to work well. My brother and fiance had the same reaction to these I did: these quesadillas are kind of good and definitely interesting if you're looking for something different, but not something to put into regular meal rotation.
