Yum! I had leftovers of the filling and used it in the dinner the next night, pounding out chicken and rolling it with this in the middle. Good stuff!

Chicken Pot Pie IX

Reviewed: Sep. 9, 2009
Love it! I combined others suggestions and came out with the perfect pie in a small amount of time. Purchased frozen mixed veggies, quality pre-made pie crusts. Cooked chicken/veggies and cutup potatoes in broth and used this juice in the sauce. As others say, use this broth, dont throw it out. Doubled the sauce and make sure its thick so pie holds together. Remember to let it set for 10 minutes after it comes out of the oven to bind back together, otherwise it will run all over as you cut it.

Tis ok. The flavors were definately spicy and I added fresh basil to give it a little more flavor. I felt it was missing something on the savory side....

Asian Salad

Reviewed: May 31, 2009
This salad is wonderful. I only used 1/2 cup of oil and used 2 heads of napa cabbage. I do not like the core of cabage much. I also replaced the almonds with chopped peanuts and found instead of adding sesame seeds(burn easy) to add a few drops of sesame oil to the dressing and to the ramen/peanut mix while cooking. and I think you MUST use Rice Vinegar to get that REAL asian flavor.

Asian Lettuce Wraps

Reviewed: May 21, 2009
As is, this is great! I altered it the 2nd time to fit into my diet. I sliced chicken breast thin, cooked it on the stove top w/lid and cooking spray, sauce exactly as stated but added a handful of diced vietnamese basil and real ginger. I also add about 1/2 cup of water and let it simmer together for 20 min. We add warm rice to our lettuce leaves and then top with the chicken/sauce mix. MMmmmm and extremely healthy!(minus the sodium of course)

Split Pea Soup

Reviewed: Mar. 28, 2009
Love this. I use ham hock rather than a pork bone, I boil it for an hour prior to starting with the peas and veggies. We also like it thick and if the soup is loose, just add some instant potato flakes to thicken it up.

Jimmy's Mexican Pizza

Reviewed: Jan. 13, 2008
These are great! They are thicker than the typical TacoBell Pizza, but I found if you layered the thinnest of beans and meat and then spray a small amount of cooking spray on the top tortilla first round in the oven, it crisped up more! Its the closest you will get to a TB Pizza without frying. thnks for the recipe

Boniet

Reviewed: Oct. 3, 2007
This is a great change from the 'creamy' dips. You must let it sit overnight to get its full potential. Add the anchovies, you cant taste them directly and makes a world of difference. This is very similar to a chimichuri sauce.

This was tasty. Added a lot more hot sauce and Old Bay. I think next time I will use more crab as others suggested, as it wasn't crabby enough for my taste

Cucumber Sunomono

Reviewed: Aug. 13, 2007
This is a staple in our fridge when the cucumbers start growing in like mad. Kids love to snack on it. We also add sweet onion. One tip is to pay attention if you are using 'Seasoned' Rice vinegar. This already contains sugar and I just cut out adding additional sugar or just add the tiniest bit

Vietnamese Fresh Spring Rolls

Reviewed: Jul. 30, 2007
if its Vietnamese Spring Rolls you want, this is the recipe. Like other stated, Thai Basil is an important component. You can add/change up the veggies and meat easily. The fish sauce dip is great, its replacing a different sauce I generally make. The best part, soo very healthy and great on a hot day!

Szechwan Shrimp

This was alright, not my favorite of Szechwan sauces I have made but I did give it 4 stars for its quickness. We added twice the pepper as we like it hot and that it was! We also crumbled crushed peanuts on top.

Cappuccino in a Jar

Reviewed: Mar. 5, 2007
For an instant mix this is pretty good. I used French Vanilla Creamer in place of regular and used my blender, mixing a 1/3 at a time, no issues with granuals floating around the cup at all. If gifting, I highly suggest the 'Chai Tea Mix' also on this site to also gift. It too is wonderful!
