Christmas Cookies with Lou

My daughter's nickname is Lou. It's far too long of a story to tell how that came about but Lou is the nickname that stuck. She is in her 3rd year of college and out in the world on her own. I still live in our way-too-big-for-me house. One person
does not need 3-stories or 3800 s.f. or four bedrooms or three bathrooms. If the real estate market wasn't as poopy as it is, I would move. Quite frankly, all of the changes this year have put a real damper on my Christmas spirit. I haven't shopped, put
up a tree or decorated. I know, you're thinking, "Cry me a river." I totally agree! So...
I got this crazy, overwhelming urge to make Christmas cookies. I never make Christmas cookies. But this year, I am. I invited Lou to join me for this adventure fully expecting her to say, "Um... boring!" But, to my surprise, Lou is coming to help and
excited about it. I'm looking forward to it... especially since we're expecting 8" of snow on Sunday. Maybe we'll get snowed in until the holidays pass.
