Alyson's Broccoli Salad

Fantastic! I made this for our church's Fourth of July picnic and it was gone in no time--everyone wanted the recipe! I left out the onion and added only half of the sunflower seeds, and it still had plenty of flavor without one ingredient overpowering the other. The dressing is especially delicious!

Best Fried Green Tomatoes

I made my coating with Italian bread crumbs, which gave it a hint of that great Mediterranean flavor. Love this recipe--I'll definitely be using it again!

Cioccolata Calda (Hot Chocolate Italian-Style)

More of a syrupy texture than a pudding texture, but who wants to drink pudding anyway? This recipe made a fine hot chocolate, and it works well with dark cocoa powder as well! It'll definitely take the edge off any chocoholic's craving.

Spicy Chicken Breasts

Excellent rub! I went a little easy on the cayenne and paprika, and it was still a good, spicy zing. I cooked this on a grill skillet, so instead of oiling a grate, I applied the rub to both sides, then dabbed oil onto one side of the chicken breasts. I put the oiled side down on the skillet, and after turning them, I applied a little bit of butter onto the cooked side to get a rich flavor. I can't wait to try it leftover! I imagine it will be great sliced into strips for a salad or sandwich.

Eggless Crepes

Finally, crêpes I can eat! I've never liked eggs, and this recipe worked well with vegan alternatives (soymilk and dairy-free butter). I would use a little less oil on the skillet as they turned out a little on the greasy side (maybe from cooking on cast iron/heat differences?), but my family loved the taste and the crispy edges. Thanks for posting this awesome recipe! Now I can enjoy crêpes!
