Chicken and Bow Tie Pasta

Reviewed: Jan. 29, 2003
I enjoied this recipe. I did change a coupel of things. I fixed the chicken in my hot plate with a cup of water the garlic and red pepper. Removed chicken, added the chicken broth and broc.. After a time I added the cream chees, but only half. I added the shreaded chicken. Cooked the pasta and mixed it all together in a larg serving dish. Sprinkel with parmisan. It was EASY and made a grate center peace on the dinner table. I'll make it again.

Apple Pork Chop Skillet

Reviewed: Jan. 29, 2003
Changes I made: -Extra thick pork chops, marinated in concentrated Apple juice and 1/4 cup soy sauce. Overnight. -Sauté apples with pork chops. - In place of 1 1/2cup-apple juice I added 1/2 cup of concentrated apple juice and Soy Marinate and 1 cup of water. -Also I did substitute with Best Yet brands Stuffing. I think this would be a winner with kids.

Beezie's Black Bean Soup

Reviewed: Feb. 8, 2003
I made a huge crock of this for a large gathering. I didn’t have any complaints and everyone got their fill. I just thought that it was a little on the bland side.

Elaine's Sweet and Tangy Loose Beef BBQ

Reviewed: Feb. 13, 2003
This is not a bad recipe, it's just that it has a fair quantity of ketchup as a base. I cut the recipe down to serve 8 and it turned out ok. I did find that cooking on low just did not do the trick. My husband ate it but stated that he would not like this one again.

Slow Cooker Mediterranean Stew

Reviewed: Apr. 17, 2003
I used a roaster oven instead of a slow cooker. This way I was able to cook the onion and garlic a little while peeling and dicing the squash, that was the hardest part. I kind of eyeballed most of the ingredients rather than really measuring them out. For instance I diced up and threw in an entire eggplant, two small zucchini, and I added a can of diced tomatoes instead of the fresh tomato. I have to recommend using golden raisins. Than I dbl. all the spices and included salt. So I didn't follow this recipe exactly but it turned out grate. A bit sweet and just a little spicy hot. Good for Vegetarian kids.

Sweet Potato Souffle III

Reviewed: Oct. 17, 2004
I like this an all except I felt like the directions are kind of unclear. I mean Sweet Potatoes are huge. And I supose I should have just used 3 potatoes to give me 6 c. Instead I used 6 potatoes and had more than 12 c. of mashed sweet potatoes.
