Basic Fondue

Reviewed: Jan. 8, 2006
We had this at a party with two other fondues. This one was the least popular, most people thought it was on the bland side. I thought the taste was pretty good, but the consistency was odd. It did not blend or thicken as nicely as the other fondues. Also, it did not coat the "dippers" very well, a little too thin. This fondue did get a little better the longer it was heated. It had to be stirred frequently or the ingredients would start seperating. I probally won't try try this again, because it required to much attention.

Cheese Fondue

Reviewed: Jan. 8, 2006
Wow! This is a great fondue! Served at a party and went over wonderfully. We did have to add wine a couple of times and stir well, when it started to thicken to much. However, that is to be expected when it's out all night long! Next time I make a fondue, this is the recipe I will choose! Love It!

Super Moist Pumpkin Bread

Reviewed: Jan. 29, 2003
I brought this bread to a party and it did not go over very well. My husband and myself did not care for it either. I love coconut, but you couldn't really taste it.

Mrs. Sigg's Snickerdoodles

Reviewed: Dec. 17, 2004
This is a quick and easy, great tasting cookie. It's nice in a pinch, because you usually have all the ingredients on hand. I have substituted stick of margerine for the shortening and worked just as well. My stepfather loves these and they make an excellent addition to a holiday cookie tray.

Spinach Mushroom Quiche

Made this for my husband and another couple - eveyone loved it! My grocery store does not carry lemon & herb flavor soup, so I substituted with a envelope of garlic and herb soup mix. Very easy and tastes excellent! I can't wait to make this again!!!

Avocado Salsa

Really tasty alternative to salsa. People always ask for the recipe when I make this. I'm not a big fan of corn, but it really is good in this salsa.

Chocolate Chip Shortbread Cookie Logs

Look and taste very elegant/fancy, which makes them perfect for gifts or cookie trays. Sometimes instead of nuts, I roll in sprinkles or other confections to match the current season.

Ramen Coleslaw

Reviewed: Dec. 13, 2003
I have made this recipe several times for my family and for gatherings; always a hit! To help keep the salad from getting soggy, I toast the ramen noodles along with the almonds and seeds. It's really nice on a buffet or for potluck - but always wait till right before serving to add the noodles and nuts.

Bodacious Broccoli Salad

Reviewed: Feb. 1, 2003
This is awesome! My husband doesn't care for broccoli, but loved this salad. I will be making this again! It calls for a lot of pepper, I wouldn't change the amount, but it might too much for some people.

Garden Veggie Pizza Squares

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2006
I made this for a holiday party and it looked very nice. It went over well and I thought it tasted good. The recipe says to use 1/2 an envelope of the onion mix, next time I will probally add the whole envelope. I didn't realize that it needed to be refrigerated before serving. Only for an hour, so I was still able to serve it that evening. I would make it again, just for its pretty appearance!

This is a very tasty cookie. It looks nice, without being too much work. I make these around the holidays for my cookie trays. Sometimes, I add a finley shredded coconut to the filling mixture and increase the sour cream a little.

Red, White & Blueberry Cream Pie

Very tasty, lemon juice gives a pretty powerful zip. You might want to use less if lemon if you would prefer a less tart pie. It does look very pretty when cut.

African Curry

Reviewed: Feb. 1, 2003
I made this recipe for company and it went over very well. I added red pepper sauce, since we like our food spicy. It was very "saucy" so I added rice noodles to the pan at the very end. I cooked and additional 5 minutes on a low temp. Turned into a very nice one-dish meal. Will be making again

Mouth-Watering Stuffed Mushrooms

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2006
Served fresh out of the oven these are wonderful! Made for a party and they all disappeared! Next time I will prepare the "filling" ahead of time so I can just fill the caps when I want to serve. You can really over fill the caps, since they bake down quite a bit.
