Love to cook since childhood. Grew up with delicious but terribly unhealthy Southern food and am slowly but surely transitioning to low-sodium, low-saturated-fat, largely vegetarian options.

Veggies & grains all the way from starchy like potatoes to green leafy veggies, pasta in particular, beans, some rice dishes.

Classic traditional Southern cooking that is unbelievably delicious and probably contributes to the high prevalence of diabetes and coronary artery disease and shorter life spans in Southerner Americans. Hence, the slow but steady switch to lighter, cleaner, more vegetarian cooking.
