Campbell's® Lemon Broccoli Chicken

Reviewed: Jun. 7, 2012
This was very good. Amazingly all my kids loved it and even said the broccoli hidden in the rice gravy was yummy (which is surprising since it's green and ususally that means, and I quote 'ewww') I used a can of campbell's broccoli cheese soup instead of cream of broccoli which, I think, inhanced the flavor ten fold. I also seasoned the chicken with garlic and onion powder and a touch of crushed red pepper and then I added an extra dash of lemon to the mix. It turned out delicious and absolutely wonderful over rice!

Easy Chicken Casserole

Reviewed: Jun. 21, 2012
I made this pretty much according to the recipe. The only difference I made was adding extra onion to this and seasoning the chicken with cayenne, onion powder, salt and pepper. I also sprinkled some shredded cheddar over the top. This was a hit at my house, even my pickiest eater enjoyed this! :D Thanx for the quick and easiest recipe.

Chicken Paprikash II

Reviewed: May 10, 2012
This was fantastic! I'd never had anything Hungarian before though I have heard through a Hungarian friend of mine that there are many dishes that are delicious and unique. Chicken Papkrikash was one of the dishes she'd mentioned. So when I came across this recipe, I was utterly delighted. It was every bit as good as she had stated. I loved the thick tomato, sour cream and paprika flavor. So rich and creamy! And I absolutely loved the zing that the red pepper gave it. Soo good! I followed some of the directions the other reviewers gave and added chicken broth instead of water which I think gave it extra flavor then it would have had I used just water. I also poured it over egg noodles. Yummy!! :) The only reason I'm giving this just four stars and not five is because my five year old thought it was a bit too spicy, (he doesn't even like pepper though) and my 2 year old took one bit and instantly stuck up her nose at it saying 'I no like it mommy...' (Sigh...she's soo picky -_-') Oh well, there loss hehe ;). Too bad for them, I'm definately adding this recipe to my list of keepers! Thanks so much!

Paprika Chicken with Sour Cream Gravy

Reviewed: Jul. 19, 2012
This was awesome! I added some extra paprika to the sauce and used minced garlic instead of powder, adding it directly to the butter in the pan. It turned out great! :D

Johnny Marzzetti with Ground Venison

Reviewed: Jun. 11, 2012
Pretty tasty and hearty meal. My kids thought this was really good (though it's pretty hard to go wrong when you've got lots off cheese, noodles, hamburger with kids involved hehe ;) I used ground beef instead of venison, which is not readily avalible where I live. I took the advice of some of the other reviewers and seasoned my meat first. I used little shells instead of elbow noodles, and omitted the bell pepper since my kids don't care for the taste. All in all, this turned out great and baked very well. The best part: it's super easy!

Chicken Jambalaya II

Reviewed: Jun. 9, 2012
Good, but like everyone else can attest to, it needs quite a bit of extra seasoning. It's a great base recipe though. I added the onion powder and garlic powder just because I love them both very much but also added quite a bit of creole seasoning, a dash of hot sauce and cayenne and replaced the whole peeled tomatoes with diced. I didn't use instant rice either, making a pot of long grain white rice on the side to go with it instead. I would have kicked it up a notch on the spicy factor, but my kids would have kicked my butt ;p. All in all, pretty good eats.

Hamburger Steak with Onions and Gravy

Reviewed: May 29, 2012
Very very tasty! I didn't have beef broth so I used lipton's beef onion soup mix and water and used crushed ritz crackers rather then bread crumbs. I also omitted the seasoning salt in the gravy and replaced it with worcerstershire sauce. It turned out perfect and tender. Best of all, the kids loved it and they are not fans of onions. ;)

This was great for the kids! Even my picky 2 year old enjoyed this and she normally doesn't like eggs; she gobbled it right up! My 5 yearold asked me for seconds and if I could make this for breakfast EVERY day lol. :D

For a fast, cheap, dinner, this has pretty good potential. It definately needs some jazzing up as the other reviews have stated, but for a busy night, you can't really beat this.

Delicious Ham and Potato Soup

Reviewed: May 18, 2012
Excellent! One bite will get your taste buds dancing a happy little jig. My husband (who got worn out on potato soup when we were first married because it was one of the only things I knew how to make) LOVED it! His exact word was 'delicious!' and 'you WILL make this again!' Pat myself on the back for finding a potato soup that has him so enthusiastic hehe :D Even my kids, ALL of them, enjoyed this fabulous soup. The only thing I though was a little too much was this saltiness factor. (I'm not a big fan of salt) But on the same note, it's nothing a little extra milk in my bowl can't fix. So all I can say is two thumb way up! Thanks for the great recipe!!

Pork Chops with Blue Cheese Gravy

Reviewed: May 17, 2012
This was very good and pretty easy too. I was surprised that (besides my 2 year old) everyone liked this, including my two boys. The chops alone were very tasty and juicy to boot. But the sauce, the sauce was just awesome. I'll admit, I was expecting the flavor to be a lot stronger, and sharp, but was surprised that it was perfectly balanced with just the right amount of blue cheese flavor. It was delicious! None of my kids liked the sauce, but that's alright, more for hubby and me. ;)

Cherry Pie

Reviewed: Apr. 10, 2012
This was pretty good! It was also my first successful pie, yay me! My husband is an avid lover of cherries, but alas, unless they are cooked, he's very alergic to them. So, when I found this recipe, he insisted that I make it. I just gave him a skeptical look given my unfortunate lack of success in making any kind of dessert, no matter how easy it is. (when I say lack of success, I mean unedible) Still, I wanted to give it a shot all the same. I was VERY surprised (and utterly delighted) when it turned out, not only tasty, but presentable as well. Talk about a boost to cooking self-esteam. Thanks for the great recipe!! :D

Mediterranean Pasta

Reviewed: Mar. 26, 2012
This was just okay to me. I'll say right away that I actually left out the chicken in this recipe since I was already having a chicken dish with this. Next time, I'll be sure to add some because I don't think it turned out the same without it. The bacon didn't really mix well with the feta, olives and rosemary by itself and would have probably been a lot better if I had put chicken in the mix. (I ended up giving my bacon to my oldest son) The only changes I made was to add some garlic powder to enhance the sauce's other flavors, and left out the artichoke hearts. My boys loved this though, and asked me for seconds, which is rare unless they really like something, so kudos to the recipe. I'll make this again, but like I said, next time, I'll definitely add the chicken.

Chicken Tortilla Soup V

Reviewed: Aug. 1, 2012
This was very good!! I did made a few modifications. I didn't have corn so I omitted and subbed a can of diced tomatoes for one of the cans of chicken broths and added an 8oz can of green chilies. In addition to the chicken, I also added a left over pork chop that needed to be used up and I thought that it gave the soup an extra flavor. Lastly I subbed lime juice for the lemon and added an extra two teaspoons. It turned out absolutely delicious and I'll definately be adding this to my five star recipe box.

Baked Pork Chops II

Reviewed: Aug. 1, 2012
Nice and quick. I didn't have dry mustard so I subbed for dijon, which turned out pretty good. I added diced tomatoes instead of tomato sauce and light brown sugar since I didn't have dark. All of us liked this pretty well, but agreed that it wasn't special per say, but tasty none the less.

Key West Chicken

Reviewed: Jul. 31, 2012
This was pretty good, though we thought that the soy sauce completely over shadowed the lime flavor. My husband said that he thought it tasted more like terriyaki. Next time, I'll add more lime to the mix and maybe just a touch more honey. All and all, it was tasty and went over well with my family.

Meatloaf

Reviewed: Jul. 10, 2012
I am giving it a definate four stars for flavoring. In addition to the other ingrediants, I also added some cheese to the mix. I didn't have onions so I added a Lipton's beef onion soup pouch. Then I also put cheese on top of the loaf toward the last ten minutes of the bake time. The result was delicious! However, I'd give it a three for setting. Like so many of the other reviewers, my loaf fell apart. It was complete and utter mush. Despite the mushy factor though, it didn't inhibit the flavor in any way shape or form. Next time, I'll be sure to add some more oats to it and perhaps just a little less tomato soup.

Baked Chicken Broccoli and Rice

Reviewed: Jun. 27, 2012
This was very yummy and my kids absolutely raved about it! I added a can of cream of chicken soup, a cup and a half of chicken broth instead of water then about 3tbsp of real butter and 3tbsp of cream cheese. On the chicken, I put paprika, cayenne, onion powder and lime powder. I sprinkled some shredded cheddar over the top and baked for about an hour to get the rice and chicken completely done. Instead of broccoli, we had creamed spinach on the side. It turned out very creamy and very tasty. Kudos to Campbell's Kitchen for the good base recipe ;)

Corn with a Kick

Reviewed: Jun. 18, 2012
This was very yummy. Everyone in my family liked this pretty well, including my 6 year old who hates corn, and my two year old who is VERY picky when it comes to what she will and will not eat. Instead of chopping a tomato, I added half a can of rotel's diced tomatoes and green chilies. I also omitted the cayenne and green pepper. I will definately be adding this to my list of ways to make veggies for my kiddos...score!! ;D
