Carne Con Papas

Reviewed: Oct. 26, 2011
This is a wonderful recipe. The reviews were helpful. We used half the water and just let it simmer covered in a pot for a few hours vs a pressure cooker. Also we used 5 potatoes vs two. It was served with rice. Needless to say there were no left overs. Will make this again and again.

Classic Peanut Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Nov. 21, 2014
We didn't chill ours and yet they are still fluffy! Also we only had maybe 3/4 cup of peanut butter and accidentally used 1&1/2 tsp of baking powder and 1 tsp of baking soda. Good recipe! Not big on peanut butter but had a hankering tonight! Glad I chose this recipe!

Authentic Mexican Corn Bread

Reviewed: Oct. 12, 2012
Omg this was so good! I read the reviews and decided to add 1 cup of vitamin D milk JIC it is dry. I probably didnt need to do that but still no regrets. I also used real butter at room temp so maybe that helped? I added fresh jalapenos on one side of the pan, I have kids, and im so pleased with how moist it turned out, sweet and authentic flavors. Its not so sweet like cake but pretty close to it! The jalepenos really do compliment it!

The Best Rolled Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Oct. 15, 2012
I will be making these again! I took the advice on some of the reviews and used 1 cup more sugar and 1 tsp more vanilla. Also I chilled it until the next day and only took out what I was going to roll and refreeze the cookies that were not already in the oven. I dont think I will use another recipe. Finally I found one that actually works.

J.P.'s Big Daddy Biscuits

Reviewed: Oct. 17, 2012
Im making these again for the 5th time. The first time I saw this recipe I just laughed at the title! My husband calls himself big daddy and his name is also JP. So I saved it. Guess it was meant to be! Its the only food so far that this family of 7 eats all at once. Usually I have to make a couple of sides with my main course to ensure everyone at least eats something. Jam, honey, butter, jelly even plain. Im serving it with chicken fried steak and gravy. Thanks for sharing your recipe!

Reviewed: Jan. 10, 2013
Just took my first bite and heck yeah! I didnt have any oyster sauce so I used hoisin instead. It made perfect sence anyway since its like an asian bbq sauce and pork (Spam) and bbq sauce go hand to hand anyways. I finally found something new to bring to the table thankyou!

Mexican Lasagna Rollups

Reviewed: Apr. 3, 2013
I did everything accordingly 'cept the mexican blend cheese. Instead I used a pinch of sharp chedder and a couple handfuls of asadero and queso cotija cheeses. It was kind of dry looking when I took it out of the oven...not the lasagna but the cheese. Still good though! Just not picture perfect. This was fun to make. Def will make again! Next time I will dbl up the meat and use different cheese so it will be just as pretty as the rest of the pictures here!

Pizza Dough III

Reviewed: May 9, 2013
I made a taco pizza using hot sauce vs tomato and used all the left overs from fiesta night, beans rice and ground beef mixed together topped with leftover cubed cheese from a relish tray, and baked it for said time. Then I topped it off with onions lettus and shredded cheese. Trying to be creative for my husband when he comes home for lunch but didnt realize that the dought took about forty minutes to make and set until I had already started the yeast so he didnt get to have any. I hope its still here when he gets home cause its goooooood!

Pam's Bierocks

Reviewed: Jul. 8, 2013
We usually thaw out frozen dinner rolls and put two together with a rolling pin. It was good and all but the dough kept retracting when you were trying to fill it. This way is much better! Not only was the dough easy to manage but tasty too! I like my bread a bit sweeter so next time I will use a bit more sugar. Also we just picked jalapenos out of our garden and added it to the mix...along with more salt and spices. Mmmmmmm Mmmmmmm! Good!
