Sweet and Sour Drumettes

Reviewed: Jul. 29, 2013
I used 1/3 C honey 1/3 C sugar 1/4 C vinegar 3 Tbsp cornstarch and 1 Tbsp of water. For some zing I added 1/2 Tsp of orange peel granules 1/8 Tsp of Chinese 5 spice and 1 Tbsp of chili garlic sauce to my sauce ingredients and simmered in a sauce pan. Not boiled just warmed up until all the sugar dissolved. I ended up Tripling the sauce said above since I used a whole bag of chicken drumettes and 1/2 a bag of chicken tenderloins...experimenting with boneless. It tastes so gooood! Its like dinner and dessert all in one! Like chicken waffles. I DIE!

Pam's Bierocks

Reviewed: Jul. 8, 2013
We usually thaw out frozen dinner rolls and put two together with a rolling pin. It was good and all but the dough kept retracting when you were trying to fill it. This way is much better! Not only was the dough easy to manage but tasty too! I like my bread a bit sweeter so next time I will use a bit more sugar. Also we just picked jalapenos out of our garden and added it to the mix...along with more salt and spices. Mmmmmmm Mmmmmmm! Good!

Lazy Bruschetta

Reviewed: Jun. 18, 2013
Too much oil and I even double the bread to eight slices. Its missing flavor and color. Needs something like sweet basil or garlic cloves. I'll just stick with my own recipe.

Jalapeno Popper Pizza

Reviewed: May 20, 2013
This recipe is awesome! I love pizza and jalapeno poppers and the combination of the two is genius! However I only gave it three stars because its too much cream cheese and not enough bacon bits. I pre-cooked my own my pizza crust from a pizza dough recipe here called Pizza DoughIII by Phyllis. I cant use any other pizza dough or pre-cooked crust eva! Next time I will use four oz of cream cheese vs eight and maybe dbl up the bacon bits. The off brand is half the price of Hormel so it wouldnt cost anymore anyways. Also I used panko bread crumbs instead of seasoned bread crumbs because I didnt want to buy more bread crumbs since I already had some just sitting on a shelf. It probably gave it more crunch anyway and i love crunch. We will be making this again!

Pizza Dough III

Reviewed: May 9, 2013
I made a taco pizza using hot sauce vs tomato and used all the left overs from fiesta night, beans rice and ground beef mixed together topped with leftover cubed cheese from a relish tray, and baked it for said time. Then I topped it off with onions lettus and shredded cheese. Trying to be creative for my husband when he comes home for lunch but didnt realize that the dought took about forty minutes to make and set until I had already started the yeast so he didnt get to have any. I hope its still here when he gets home cause its goooooood!

Seven Layer Salad

Reviewed: May 2, 2013
My mother in law made a salad so good that i had to look it up. It was just like this one cept instead of califlower she used chopped celery. So I substite the califlower with celery and added some raisins as well. Tasted even better than my Moms! Ive made this 3 times now and tempted to make it again just writing this review!

Kim's Garlic Breadsticks

Reviewed: May 2, 2013
It was real bland. Great texture, looked and smelled great coming out of the oven. I let them rise on a warm surface for about 45 minutes. Everyone was too hungry to wait on the bread. I will make these again but next time I will season them up a bit more.

Tortillas II

Reviewed: Apr. 9, 2013
I did everything accordingly except I wanted mine big so I only made eight. Some were on the thick side, some were on the thin side. Some burned and some were perfect. Some were round and some were not. Careful on getting too much loose flour on your skillet cause it creates a chalky burn likeness on your tortilla. I just wiped my skillet over the the sink with a paper towel and continued. I didnt use hot water like some reviews suggested and I gave them ,as said, only fifteen minutes with a wet towel before rolling out. Great recipe! I will keep practicing so I can show this recipe off.

Mexican Lasagna Rollups

Reviewed: Apr. 3, 2013
I did everything accordingly 'cept the mexican blend cheese. Instead I used a pinch of sharp chedder and a couple handfuls of asadero and queso cotija cheeses. It was kind of dry looking when I took it out of the oven...not the lasagna but the cheese. Still good though! Just not picture perfect. This was fun to make. Def will make again! Next time I will dbl up the meat and use different cheese so it will be just as pretty as the rest of the pictures here!

Nacho Cheese Sauce

Reviewed: Mar. 3, 2013
I read all the reviews and made accordingly. I used a mixer as it cooked to avoid said lumps. It burned a bit on the bottom of the pan so after I gave it a good mix. Some of the burnt part sufaced and was incorperated into the sauce so my pic is a bit speckley. I didnt give it 5 stars because a skin formed as soon as I transferred it into another bowl. Still good though. Similar to the nachos you would get from a bowling ally. I used it to make cheese fries for my boy after he watched Fred3. He craved them! Thanks for sharing your recipe!

Pani Popo (Hawaiian Coconut Bread)

Reviewed: Feb. 24, 2013
I read all the reviews and was hopeful this was going to be amazing. It tasted alright I guess. It WAS edible. I made accordingly to the directions. Lets just say it tasted like dinner rolls with a soggy coconut milk bottom. Its not something I will make again. I can find a better use for a can of coconut milk. Besides...dinner rolls taste better to me with butter.
