Roast Beef Tenderloin with Cranberry-Red Wine Sauce

The tenderloin came out wonderful, but the sauce was just ok but others at the dinner party liked it. The sauce took longer than the time stated to thicken.

Tex Mex Stuffed Mushrooms

While the recipe did take some time, everyone loved this. I used a bit more garlic and more of the dressing, otherwise this was great. I ended up sprinkling more of the cilantro on top as part of the presentation.

Sweet BBQ Chicken Dip

Outstanding! I used 2 large cans of chicken, sharp cheddar cheese and chives since that is what I had in my pantry. This was a huge hit and was devoured very quickly. I will save this recipe as my go to recipe when having to bring a dip. Glad I found a recipe that uses cranberry sauce!

Onion Baked Chicken

This is our new favorite! I did not have panko crumbs so I used Asian Honey Sesami coating instead with the soup mix. I did as suggested with other reviewers, I dried the chicken and did pound it. This was very moist and was loved by all.

Rainbow Clown Cake

I did this as cupcakes for a July 4th party. They were a huge hit! I added in lemon extract for flavoring and layered red, white and blue for a great cupcake.

Pumpkin Lobster Mac and Cheese

I used imitation lobster meat and fat free evaporated milk to keep the calorie count down on the recipe. We liked this, but there isn't enough "cheese sauce" that we like. Next time I would double the amount of sauce and decrease the baking time. Overall everyone liked it.

Brussels Sprouts in a Sherry Bacon Cream Sauce

Made this for dinner party and kids loved it! I did make a few substitutions, used baby bella instead of cremini mushrooms. I was not sure how the parents would feel about sherry with the kids I used 1/8 cup apple cider vinegar and 2 TBSP vanilla. This was a huge hit!

Tortellini Carbonara

We did like this recipe, very easy. I did change this up a bit based on other comments. I used 1/2 of the half and half due to others commenting on this runny. I added in more as it thickened up. I also used pancetta instead of ham due to our preference.

Easy Alfredo Sauce II

This was the easiest recipe I have found and loved in a long time. I read most of the notes and also added in garlic salt. I slowly added the heavy cream (I made mine) and stopped as I got closer to 3/4 cup. I found that this helped it from being too runny. I whipped it and it came out perfect.

Blue Cheese Beef Tenderloin

This was outstanding! I made this for a dinner party and it was a huge hit. I did as others suggested and put this in a shallow baking dish with the sauce. I used roasted garlic teriyaki sauce which worked well. The sauce was very good but we love blue cheese so we added more to it. Will definitely make this again.

Mint Chicken

I read other reviews before making this. I used 1/8 cup of lemon juice which was more than enough. I thought that it could of used a bit more mint, but overall the family really enjoyed this.

Festive Carrot Ring

Wow - this was a great recipe! I tried this with the small bundt cake pan and while it did not come out as smooth as I would have liked, it tasted great. Need to make sure you really grease the pan in order to come out cleanly.

Divine Hard-Boiled Eggs

I would have given this a 5 star except mine came out as soft boiled eggs. I could not use them for deviled eggs. Next time, will either allow eggs to room temp or boil 2-3 minutes. I live in NY so no high altitude issues.

Port Wine Chocolate Cake

Disappointed in this recipe. I make a chocolate rasp port and thought this would be a great recipe. I used good chocolate but it did not help. It was dry and fell apart as it cooled. I still served it but everyone said there were much better desserts. I would not waste time making this.
