Bacon Spaghetti

Reviewed: Mar. 11, 2001
My kids didn't really like this at all. Too dry, not much flavor. I added some spaghetti sauce and pesto and then my husband and I enjoyed it.

Awesome Slow Cooker Pot Roast

Very easy and delicious, but my expectations were higher because of all the reviews. So... a bit anti-climactic. But overall, a good recipe.

Zucchini Bars

Very moist, very easy. Everyone loves it. The frosting was too sweet for me the first day but seemed to tone down a lot the following day. Definitely a repeater!

Thai Chicken

I like my food salty but this was still too salty for me. I'd cut back on the soy sauce. But...it was full of flavor and I will make it again with adjustments. I think it needs more peanut butter.

Caribbean Fudge Pie IV

Reviewed: Feb. 24, 2001
Wow, very rich and chocolaty! People really liked this and it needs the vanilla ice cream to balance the strength of the chocolate. Too strong for my mom though and almost too strong for me. Needs to be served warm so it doesn't crumble.

Sun-Dried Tomato and Bow Tie Pasta

With a few changes this can be an outstanding dish. One teaspoon of cayenne is overpowering. I would go to 1/2 to 3/4 tsp depending on taste. Make your own fresh pesto and add about 5-6 tablespoons of that. Very tasty, delightful recipe.

Lemon Pepper Zucchini

Reviewed: Jan. 11, 2001
This deserves a try. The 2 tbsp of lemon pepper is a lot. I used less than a teaspoon probably, just sprinkled it on without measuring. I paired it up with spaghetti with pesto sauce and it was a great combo. Adjust the time if you want it less "soft".

Easy Ham and Noodles

While this is very easy to make and is decent tasting, it certainly isn't very exciting. It's a good meal to throw together in a pinch.

Chili Potato Burritos

add lots more enchilada sauce than the recipe calls for and add 1 small can green diced chiles, mix in cilantro into the potatoes and this will taste even better!

Moist and full of flavor. Great with a half cup of raisins. Even my 3 yr old loves it.

Fresh Fig Cookies

Reviewed: Jul. 2, 2000
Good use for leftover fresh figs. The dough didn't really come together until the figs were added. Very moist, but honestly, figs aren't in the same category as chocolate chip cookies for me. For a fig cookie though, I say give it a try.

Christie B's Fabulous Cherry Cookies

Very easy, very tasty. Great way to use up some cherries from the tree. My husband says these taste like chocolate chip cookies minus the chocolate. Dough keeps well in the fridge so you can make a warm batch when you want.

Glazed Carrots Asian Style

Reviewed: Jun. 11, 2000
Delectable! Light, flavorful, we loved it. Seemed like more marinade was needed - I had to keep stirring the carrots around while they were marinating because they weren't "submersed" enough. Next time I will double the amount of marinade.

Arti-Cheesy Chicken

This was delicious. I used one soup can of milk instead of cream and used just half the bacon. Feta can be too strong for us so I used just 4 oz of it, but it was just wonderful! Gotta try it.

Asian Chicken Noodle Salad

Reviewed: May 28, 2000
I used 5 cups of the traditional cabbage instead of the bok choy, 1/3 cup of each of the nuts and only 2 green onions. I thought it would be too overwhelming to use all that was originally suggested. But, the recipe turned out great, the dressing was easy and terrific.

Melt in Your Mouth Marinade

A bit too salty. I think the mustard powder really brought out the saltiness. I will use half the amount next time, but I will definitely use this recipe again. It was tasty and very easy.
