Beer Brats

Reviewed: Feb. 3, 2012
I am brat lover...grew up eating them. In my opinion the best way to preserve the flavor is NOT to par boil them. Grill slowly and then place in beer mixture and soak slowly on low heat as long as you have. Par boiling only takes what flavor and moisture that the fat provides out.

Absolutely the BEST Rich and Creamy Blue Cheese Dressing Ever!

Reviewed: Jan. 21, 2012
GREAT blue cheese dressing! I agree with others that the blue cheese used makes a big difference. I love large chuncks of blue cheese in my dressing so I crumble a few more ounces to mix in when I am done blending. That is pure personal preferene. The recipe as stated makes a great dressing worthy of 5 stars (made with a good blue cheese) though.

Spanish Rice Bake

Reviewed: Nov. 7, 2011
I made this with instant brown rice and omitted the cilantro as I had none. I respect others reviews that this is not a true Spanish dish yet I found it to be delicious and my family seemed to really enjoy it. I am in search of recipes that I can easily make that do not include meat but contain enough vegetables and beans (maybe) to serve as a filling main dish. My goal is to cut down the meat consumption in my families meals to 3 times per week. I am thinking this may be one that I could use black beans instead of meat with. If any who read this review have any helpful insight than please do share. Otherwise cook and enjoy.

Reviewed: Oct. 23, 2011
I substituted broth for the apple juice as that is what I had on hand. I made mashed potatoes and garlic green beans to go with it. AMAZING!!!

Stuffed Green Pepper

Reviewed: Oct. 11, 2011
My husband and my daughter said these were the best stuffed peppers that they have ever had. I agree! I used a can of seaoned diced tomatoes instead of dicing myself and doubled the amount of sauce. Delicious!
