Banana Banana Bread

Reviewed: Apr. 15, 2011
this was good. I made these changes. I used 1/8 salt 1/4 cup canola oil and 1/4 cup applesauce(no butter) 1/2 cup white sugar(didnt have brown) 3 very ripe bananas 1 tsp vanilla 1 tsp cinnamon 1/8 nutmeg Mixed wet seperate from dry. Combined just until moist and didnt over mix. Greased and flour 4x4 glass pan 350F for 40 mins and left in oven to cool Everything else was the same. Very yummy. I didnt use brown sugar because I didnt have it but might taste better with brown sugar. I also sifted the flour 4 times. Enjoy. Thanks for sharing this Shelley A.

French Breakfast Puffs

Reviewed: Apr. 30, 2010
These were not too bad. They are a little plain but taste okay with hot cocoa or maybe tea. I used the butter spray for one batch and regular butter for the other. The ones with spray didnt taste as good and all I could taste was the spray. Butter is the way to go when you grease the pan. I also used the mini muffin pan, that was a good idea. I added a little cinnamon to the flour mix and used butter instead of shortening, the taste was good. The sugar topping was not a bad idea but I suppose icing would be good too, like sweet cinnomon rolls. Thanks for the recipe.

Fruit Salad Dessert

Reviewed: Mar. 1, 2010
I did not like the fruits in this salad. I think it was too sour and the egg too complicated to put together. It is a good idea but just not my fav.

Enchiladas Suizas

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2009
This was easy and very yummy. It was my first time making it so it took me one house to set it up and put in the oven. I used flour tortillas and fried them a bit with canola oil instead of corn. I used cilantro instead of the chile peppers since we dont really like them. I fried all of the herbs with the onion including the green onion. I used mozarella and cheddar mix. I made the changes just because it was what I had and some for preference. The result was really good. Everyone liked it so I will make again. THank you for sharing.

Turkey Pot Pie

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2008
This was very good. I did a few things different because my cooked turkey was a little frozen and I cannot use boullion. I boiled a wing and thigh with celery, carrots,a bay leaf, parsley and a little salt. I was making some stock while cooking the turkey a little more. I then followed the steps to the letter but used the stock I made and a little gravy to thicken it a bit. This also saves time cooking seperate carrots and celery that you will use. Less dishes too. This was very good. I also made the dough for the crust the night before. I rolled it only when I was ready with the turkey. Very good.

Pineapple Zucchini Bread

Reviewed: Aug. 13, 2004
This was so good!! I had to do a few changes but overall it was great. I didn't add the allspice since I didn't have any,I used pecans and added about 1 tsp of pineapple juice into the bread mixture itself. Also, I got pineapple rings and cut them up to small pieces measuring 1 cup(8 oz). This way you can actually see the pineapple in the bread. Finally I baked for 50 minutes and was so moist and delicious! Thanks for the recipe, love it and will make again.

Carrot Pineapple Cake I

Reviewed: Aug. 12, 2004
This was good but I didn't really taste the pineapple at all. I left out the coconut hoping to enhance the pineapple taste but all I could taste was the carrots. Good carrot cake. As for the frostig it makes a lot of it so I made only half and still too much for the cake.

Peach Cobbler Dump Cake II

Reviewed: Feb. 5, 2004
This is very delicious! Try no sugar and use heavy syrup instead to give it a more peach flavor. I (by accident since the color of the box is about the same)used orange gellatin and it turned out great. It was sweet so maybe next time I will use sugar free jello. I also had to bake it for longer so it would come together better. I found it easy to serve it the next day after its has been chilled and then just warm it up in the microwave. Goes great with Ice cream. Thanks so much for a great recipe.

Easy Peach Crisp I

Reviewed: Feb. 5, 2004
This was so good. I had to bake it much longer than asked but that was to my taste. It is sweet and didnt add any suger as suggested and used heavy syrup. This was very easy to make and will be making it again. Goes reall good with ice cream and served warm. If its too runny try serving it the next day after its chilled so it easier to cut and then just warm it up in the microwave. Thanks for a great recipe.

Georgia Peach Homemade Ice Cream

Reviewed: Feb. 5, 2004
This was very easy to make. It took me about 8 hours to freeze to my taste. I used regular ice cream containers that I had saved so that might have been why it took so long, otherwise the ice cream would have been runny. The taste was great and not as sweet as regular ice cream and goes great with a warm peach cobler!! Great recipe, thanks so much for sharing. I might try it with strawberries, yummy!
