Romantic Chicken with Artichokes and Mushrooms

Reviewed: Feb. 11, 2003
Loved this recipe. I made some changes as suggested by other reviewers. I did add garlic, lemon juice, and herbs de provance. I also used sherry. The flavor was wonderful. Will make again---soon!

Spicy Seafood Shell Appetizers

Reviewed: Jul. 4, 2003
I wish I could rate this with 10 stars! This recipe is truly outstanding and pretty to serve as well. Next time I think I will use more fresh shrimp and more hot sauce. I had plenty of filling and thus used three boxes of shells. Thanks for a great recipe!

Gail's Seven Layer Salad

Reviewed: Sep. 23, 2004
I will make this again. I used fresh salsa instead of a tomato and I used frozen (thawed) guacamole instead of a fresh avocado. Also just a chopped onion. Left out the red cabbage as well. I needed something fast and had to use what was on hand. The lettuce as a little soggy (Duh!); but it was still delicious. Will stay closer to the actual recipe next time! Thanks for a good one, Gail.

Finnish Turnips

Reviewed: Oct. 14, 2003
Personally, I enjoyed this dish. My family was iffy. I will make this again---without changes, the consistancy was fine. They'll learn to love turnips, I already do!

Ginger Spice Cheesecake

Reviewed: Jan. 22, 2012
This was ok. The texture was fine and I did not have cracking (used pan of water on lower rack). This did not have much of a ginger flavor. I thought the crust was bland and I did add a pinch of ground ginger to the cookie crumbs.

Carrot Cashew Quiche

Reviewed: Oct. 7, 2009
Still not sure on this one. A little too sweet for my liking even with the following changes: 1/4 C. butter, shredded carrots, chopped cashews, 2 Oz. honey, 1 C. heavy cream & 1/2 C. milk. It was good; it's just that I prefer a more savory flavored quiche.

Awesome Slow Cooker Pot Roast

Reviewed: Aug. 26, 2003
This recipe worked well for my busy lifestyle and for my family (who can sometimes be pickey). I halfed the recipe and I believe I might have cooked it a bit too long. My husband thought it was a little dry. At any rate, everyone ate heartly and seemed to enjoy the beef. The raves came from the gravy---I used red wine instead of water. I served this with mashed potatoes and roasted carrots. Will make again!

Restaurant Style Mac and Cheese

Reviewed: Mar. 1, 2005
YUM! This recipe is good and easy. I made it with Penne (all I had in the pantry). It made a pretty presentation. I used the heavy cream as called for; however, I did add a splash of milk to smooth out the consistany. Will make again and and again.

Shrimp Scampi Bake

Reviewed: Nov. 8, 2004
Way to go Kimber! This recipe is outstanding. I followed it exactly, and would not change a thing. The first time I made it I served it over noodles. Last night I served it with rice pilaf, and buttered green beans almondine. My children love this recipe, which is a real plus. A keeper for sure!

Brownie Biscotti

Reviewed: Oct. 21, 2004
Good! I made some changes, but the recipe is a good basic starting point. I think it is possible to play with this recipe to your liking. Watch the time and temp. I did slice once warm enough to handle---no crumbles. Will make again.
