I followed this recipe very closely. I used a 2.5 lb. pork roast (on sale at Kroger; buy one, get one). I sprayed the crock pot with vegetable oil spray, placed it in the crock pot, set for 4 hrs. on high, poured Root Beer about halfway up the roast, poured a packet of McCormick's BBQ Pulled Pork Crock Pot Seasoning in the Root Beer and on top of the pork covering it heavily, covered, and waited. Two hours into it I flipped the roast to moisten some of the seasonings. When it was done, I pulled it out, shredded on a cutting board, placed in a glass baking pan, mixed with 1 bottle of Kroger barbaque sauce and kept in the oven on warm until my dinner sides were finished (mashed potatoes and baked apples with cranberries). We ate the pulled pork both with and without a bun.
