Banana Oatmeal Bread

I made this recipe two weekends in a row. The first time I used margarine in the recipe. The second time I used butter in the recipe. The margarine made a far superior bread. Better consistancy and better flavor. The butter recipe was very crumbly and the margarine was very moist, but cut firmly. I always add extra bananas to my banana breads as I did with this one. I will definately continue to make this bread ~ using margarine.

Guacamole

I have made this countless times. My family and guests always rave about it. I have often substituted frozen, mashed avacados because I cannot always get nice ripe ones. Plus, I can keep it on hand and whip up a quick batch when I have a last minute gathering to attend.

Overnight Raisin Oatmeal Pancakes

I have been making this recipe for a year now. My son and his hockey, baseball, football (depending on the season) team mates request them at least once a month on game day. These are hungry 17 & 18 year old boys and they rave about them. In fact they have taken to calling them "deb cakes" (sorry Cindy). I love this recipe. As with any recipe it is up to each individual to enhance to their own needs. Extra buttermilk is the only change I have made to this recipe. I serve with homemade syrup.

Oh my!!! This was sooo good. The kids didn't care for the rosemary so will leave out next time. I will also add more mushrooms. I am tempted to use this for a pot pie filling adding vegies. I'll let you know how that turns out. This heated up great too.
