Willy's Juicy Steak

Reviewed: Jun. 4, 2006
Made this recipe last night for "Steak Night" at my brothers. 1/2'd it and used on skirt steak (husband hates ribeye). Great tast, very juicy, super tender! Will add to the rotation :) Thanks Willy. Also made a copy cat version of Outback's Sautedd Mushrooms. Went great together.

Chicken Gruyere with Sauteed Mushrooms

Reviewed: Nov. 9, 2005
Made this for dinner last night. I also dredged the chicken in egg before flour. The only other change I made (addition) was to saute baby spinach with a little garlic and use as a bed for the chicken. I also did not have gruyere but a bag of shredded Italian 6 Cheese Mix was creamy and wonderful. My husband said "Good Stuff" at least three times during the meal. It's a keeper. Thanks!

Summer Corn Salad

Reviewed: Jun. 13, 2005
Made this yesterday for a BBQ. Took other reviewers advice and added cilantro and black beans for a mexican flair. Also used grape tomatoes and balsamic vinegar instead of the white. Was a nice change from potato and mac salads. Really like the crispness of the corn. Enjoyed with the habanero lime salmon from this site and a green salad.

Grilled Salmon with Habanero-Lime Butter

Reviewed: Jun. 13, 2005
Made this yesterday for an eary fathers day BBQ. Everyone loved it and we will definitely make it again. I left the habenaro out of the butter (my mother-in-law does not like spicy food) but did put it in the marinade. I marinated it overnight in a zip lock bag. Perfect.

Crab Cakes with Curried Yogurt Sauce

Reviewed: Jun. 7, 2005
These were just okay for me. I used 8 oz. of crabmeat and only one cup of the crackers and there was still just too much breading for me. Next time I will try doubling the crabmeat. Didn't really care for the sauce. My husband and teenage daughter ate it though. Better than store bought but not great. Will play with it a little more next time. Thanks

Becky's Chicken Salad

Reviewed: May 11, 2005
I have made a recipe very similar to this one. I use red seedless and walnuts though. No Whipping cream...just the mayo. I always get compliments from guests and make enough to take to work for lunch! Very good in salad or on a grain bread.

Seafood Salad II

Reviewed: May 2, 2005
I made this recipe yesterday for my daughters First Holy Communion and it was a big hit. I did use imitation crab meat and had to leave out the jalepeno (my mother-in-law won't eat anything that even sounds spicy). I also had to leave out the sour cream. I put the mayo in first and it seemed too wet already so I just omitted the SC. I thought it tasted delicious without it and will make this recipe again.

Roasted Asparagus and Yellow Pepper Salad

Reviewed: Aug. 10, 2004
Made this past weekend for a bbq with family. We all really liked it. Served with green salad, salmon & flank steak. Would make again without using all of the dressing. Didn't care for it the second day though, much better fresh on the first day.

BBQ Teriyaki Pork Kabobs

Reviewed: Jul. 26, 2004
This was good and easy. Substituted one tbls of olive oil with sesame and added a tbls of rice wine vinegar to marinade. Family liked extra basting sauce kept on side for white rice. Still like the marinade for flank steak on this site better though. Can be used on steak, chix or pork for outstanding results.

Lemon Ginger Shrimp

Reviewed: May 10, 2004
Made this yesterday for a "Mom's Day" bbq. When my brother went in to make a plate for his wife to take home they were all gone. Wonderful flavor. Only change I made was to use 1 tbl of soy instead of the 1/2 of salt. Will make this again and again. Thanks.

Marinated Flank Steak

Reviewed: Apr. 22, 2004
This marinade was excellent. Wanted to make fajitas last night, only had an hour to marinate and the chicken tenderlions and skirt steak were both very flavorful. Used low carb fajita wraps, red bell pepper, yellow onion and light sour cream for a taste sensation. Thanks for the recipe, will make again very soon.

Hazelnut-Mushroom Pilaf

Reviewed: Mar. 29, 2004
Made this recipe for 40 for my brother's wedding this past weekend (and then again the next day to go with the leftover Chicken Marsala). On the first day I made it per the recipe and it came out more like risotto but got rave reviews. When I made it again the next day I altered the amount of Chicken broth (2 C liquid to 1 C rice) and it came out perfect. Rave reviews again. Had to substitute walnuts on 2nd day and didn't notice a difference. Also served with Broccoli with Garlic and Parmesan. Awesome combination.

Artichoke and Roasted Red Pepper Dip

Reviewed: Sep. 8, 2003
This recipe was pretty good. It tasted very similar to the spinach artichoke recipe I have but that may have been because I used shallots instead of leek. I will try it again and buy the leek. Used more parm than it called for cause we like cheese! Thanks for the recipe.
