Gingerbread Cookies
My grand-daughter and I tried this recipe today. we made the dough yesterday, following the recipe with no changes and then refrigerated overnight. The dough stuck to the work surface and the cookies sheets. The cookies wound up being very tough and essentially tasteless. We made half the dough. I have been a home baker for years (very successfully according to family and friends) and we were so disappointed as these were supposed to be in gift baskets.

Soft Dinner Rolls
Made these last night. Used the breadmaker dough setting. The dough was very wet and sticky, had to add a lot more bread flour to keep from sticking to the sides. Once I punched it down and removed from the pan it was still very sticky and hard to handle and I had a tough time separating into the pieces. All that being said, the rolls are great, everyone here loved them and I will be making them again. If not for the stickiness issue (and that was probably my fault some way), they are a 5 for sure because of the ease in making them and the great texture and taste. *****Updated**** made them again and they are perfect - figured it was user error last time. We are in love with the flavor and texture. My rating is a definite 5+++

Bourbon Apple Cider and Honey Glazed Pork Chops
this is terrific! I never could get the glaze to cook down to what i would consider a glaze consistency and that was before I added the reduced bourbon (Jack D). I did put a little more honey in the glaze at the start as it was a little too vinegary for my husband. regardless, it was great. I just basted the chops about every ten minutes, kept the remainder of the liquid warm and served that as a dipping sauce. I also served cubed baked sweet potatoes and before serving, I poured some of the liquid in those as well. It was delicious. My husband is a light, picky eater and even had seconds. Will definitely make again as we enjoyed it so much.
