Chicken Pot Pie IX

Reviewed: Oct. 29, 2013
This was absolutely delicious! I followed the recipe and took into account many others suggestions and added potato, broccoli and corn to the celery, carrots and peas and boiled the raw cubed chicken in liquid chicken broth and a chicken broth cube. I then added hearty dashes of chopped chives, garlic powder, garlic salt, seasoning salt, chickening seasoning, celery salt, salt and pepper to the broth. For the gravy mixture I added a can of chicken gravy along with a repeat of the above spices mixed well into it. I added a bit of the chicken - vegetable mixture to the bottom of the pie crust and then mixed the whole lot together pouring the rest on top of the dry mixture. Placed the remaining pie crust on top - brushed with egg white and made slits in the crust and baked for 35 - 40 mins at 425. - just keep an eye on the crust...some may take longer than others to crisp nicely. :) (Prepared bottom pie crust before hand with egg white and 5 - 7vmins in the pre-heated oven as suggested) Loved this for a cold November night!! Perfect!

Butternut Squash Soup II

Reviewed: Oct. 29, 2012
Super Duper Easy to make! I baked the whole squash (not cut) in the oven at 400c for 1 hour with an inch of water at the bottom of the pan and after baked I peeled the skin away and chopped into cubes putting them in a pot with chicken broth, sweet potato yam and all sorts of spices (nutmeg, salt, pepper, all spice, cinnamon). I let it boil and then simmered on low for 1 hour. I then blended the whole lot with sour cream and voila! Delicious!!! Thanks a mil! Perfect for a Stormy Hurricane Sandy night!

Chili Chocolate Cookies

These were great and surprisingly easy to make! I followed the written recipe to a tee as well as watched Chef John's Video on how to make them for more clarification! They certainly have a little kick to them and the taste savors in your mouth for some time after eating just one! Great little treat!
